Losing father, mother and child isn't easy for Chimamanda. It's not easy to lose your loved ones. I read her book where she wrote about her loss and I don't expect her to write for a few years to come but maybe life has a message for us.... And we put them to words.

I trust the doctors in that hospital did the right thing...you cannot always blame other people for every events. Whether you give them one week or not, you child ( may his soul rest in peace) got the infection from the same house you were living with him. After the infection, you took the child to the hospital and he died...even the hospital you intend to take the child to abroad, people also die there...if your child has died in the hospital abroad, would you have given them one week ultimatum to produce medical results ? All this nonsense must stop...as a mother, you are suppose to be prosecuted for negligence... because your child got infected under your care

A baby of less than 2 years has already started having that kind of illness, even upon her ‘wokeness’.

Thank God they've stepped on big toes, all these rubbish from medical practitioners must stop, they have been doing it for so long, that is why our politicians prefer to run abroad at the slightest headache. Justice must prevail.

All these things happen as a result of poor government regulations, we have good medical doctors in Nigeria but without strong regulations we will continue reading news like this..

It's the duty of our so called leaders to step in and make sure that there's deterrent or consequence for negligence..

The same thing is happening in other sections of government, people do as it pleases them because they know quite well that nothing will happen, there's no accountability in Nigeria, it's only when a prominent person is affected then you our leaders pretending like they care just to safe face..

Medical negligence is global but in Nigeria, there is little or no consequence for the Medical facility and the healthcare practitioners involved in the negligence, they continue to operate as if nothing happened. 😡

This is actually true
There are docs of over 10 years experience in govt hospitals but this high end private hospitals usually prefer to employ fresh graduates and have them trained by visiting specialists who only stay for 3 to 6 months max before leaving the hospital at the mercy of these inexperienced ones.
I don't understand why these hospitals refuse to poach govt hospitals though
