Meanwhile, Top Equity Funds in Nigeria (2025)... THIS LIST IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION. 1. Halo Equity Fund Frequently the top performer in the equity fund category in 2025. Reported some of the highest YtD returns (e.g., ~53.5% as of October). High-growth, high-volatility fund: best suited for investors with a strong risk appetite. 2. Afrinvest Equity Fund Also among the leading performers in 2025 with strong YtD gains (~53.5% as of October). Offers diversified exposure across large- and mid-cap Nigerian equities. 3. Guaranty Trust Equity Income Fund (GT Equity Income) Consistently among the better performers with solid returns (~56% in earlier H1 data). Focuses on dividend-paying and blue-chip stocks — good for investors seeking both income and growth. 4. Zrosk Magna Equity Fund Ranked highly in performance lists with double-digit YtD returns (~42%). A more aggressive equity fund aimed at experienced investors. 5. Paramount Equity Fund A long-established Nigerian equity fund with solid performance (~40%+ YtD). Known for diversification and capital appreciation over the long term. 6. Stanbic IBTC Aggressive Fund / Nigerian Equity Funds Well-established funds from a reputable manager showing noteworthy equity exposure and returns. Sources: Nairametrics & Finance in Africa |

Kindly check your portfolio now, bro. Mine has been updated. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Care4: 8:50pm On Jan 12 |
Care4:I have tried 3 of the above and looking at including a 4th one. All depends on Q1 2026 results. But for now, I'm taking positions for direct equity ahead of the dividend season. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 8:51pm On Jan 12 |

| Re: Equity Investment. by Keith05cool(m): 11:52pm On Jan 12 |
EquityM:Why is the equity showing 4.5%? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 11:55pm On Jan 12 |
The YTD has been reset. This year, they started from 1YTD. All fund managers do this every year. They have to meet up with 60-100 YTD by the end of this year. Every year the YTD starts again from 1. Keith05cool: |

EquityM:Ok thanks |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:07am On Jan 13 |
Please try and start with 50-100k to see gains; these gains will help you fight off your losses. 10k or 20k, I don't recommend it. However, you can top up gradually. Keith05cool: |

EquityM:I did 50k with mutual funds, do I need to deposit another amount for the equity fund? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:46am On Jan 13 |
I don't get you, bro. If you pay for any mutual funds, it will reflect. So, make sure you click on equity fund and pay to the account the system brings up. Equity starts with a 5,000 naira deposit. Keith05cool: |

If your portfolio is up 10% but inflation is 20%, you are losing money. 📉 It’s a hard pill to swallow, but it’s the reality of investing in Nigeria right now. Most apps show you your nominal returns, but they don't show you your real purchasing power. I built a feature in NairaShield called the Dividend Time Machine. It allows you to simulate your returns against historical inflation data. It answers the one question that matters: "Did this company actually beat inflation?" Don't let inflation eat your profits in silence. See the real numbers. Try it now: https://finance.threadnix.com

I'm all in on the equity funds. Is it more profitable running than the MMF?? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 5:57am On Jan 13 |
It is for a longer period of time. However, profit and capital rely on market stability and growth. VladimirTheGrea: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 6:31am On Jan 13 |
VladimirTheGrea:It's a way to beat inflation. Your goal is to beat inflation and note that, it can be profitable in a particular year and in some year, it will be slow and filled with unpredictable mood swing. Last year, It began getting profitable starting from the second quarter of last year. In 2024, it started the year strong but lost momentum. It's starting the year strong this year draw from last year momentun and a growing ASI so the future looks bright for now. |

EquityM:Ok. Just saw a 90days min holding period. It's quarterly, and I'm looking at trying the waters immediately. This inspiration you bring, it's fine. |

EquityM:My kyc has been approved. Thanks |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 6:42am On Jan 13 |
If the market goes south, forget the 90days, you can withdraw your capital. Only your interest will be charged. You can start investing but have a plan B in case the market goes bearish. I will send the link to see the stocks they currently trade. There is also a yearly dividend paid to subscribers; this is different from your interest accrued. VladimirTheGrea: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 6:44am On Jan 13 |
Start investing, bro; the NAV might be pricer soon. Don't forget to have an MMF account if the market goes bearish. . welzyj2: |
