Sometimes the fault is the way our roads are congested and people refusing to give way for emergency vehicles, except it is a Vip with koboko wielding soldiers and mopol so they have no choice, but ambulance and fire trucks people sometimes just ignore them.

I'm still surprised uptil now that the heavy fire outbreak that burnt down one of the Chinese company inside Ogun State free trade zone in Igbesa, Ogun state ystday morning wasn't reported here on Nairaland since ystday.
With over 200 hundred students of Ogitech and none students videoing and recording the heavy flames going up.
It happens just at the back of where I was staying. I was cleaning my compound when I heard a loud explosive noise.
Ran into my room to get my phone to capture it, immediately I started filming my phone battery went off.

With the amount of people who captured it with their phones, I was expecting it to have hit front page here. Does it means none of the over 200 people I saw ystday recording are on nairaland. Bcus I later heard many of them saying they have posted it online.

You claimed you were trying to film the fire event in Igbesa and your phone went off. So, after you turned your phone back on, why didn't you collect the video from the over "200" people and post it here on nairaland so we all see it?

You know I really thought of that, but I am new in that area. Just a week into the area. And most are students who we aren't age mates.
Going to them to ask of it, looks one kind to me. And honestly I thought the news would hit here in no time, so that made me no to bother

You don't even have Fire Service numbers, so why blame them for something you're guilty of?

. It will surprise you to know that not a single one of them throwing objects at that truck has a fire service emergency contact.
How can they know there is a fire burning somewhere without being called?

Nigeria needs serious reform. nothing is working under this administration.

Is the fire service even near the place?

Calabar south crew don't take rubbish, but you cant really blame the fire service people, most of the times no diesel or water in the truck, it is when they receive a call that they start mobilizing for these items, the fire office is located at Mary Slessor, its quite a journey from there to Calabar south , add the narrow roads and traffic that truck wont arrive till fire has burned down the house.

Always invest in a fire extinguisher for your home. 5kg is not too much, teach your family fire prevention and fighting measures. Protect your homes from careless neighbors, caly south people like to store petrol in their homes, which are face me I slap you types.
