Security Tightened At Kano Government House Amid Governor Yusuf's Defection Rumours

The Kano State Government House, on Monday, witnessed an unusual presence of security operatives following growing speculations about an alleged plan by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to defect from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

Combined teams of combat-ready security operatives drawn from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Services (DSS) were seen mounted at the main entrance and other access points to the Government House. Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) belonging to the security agencies were also positioned at the main gate and the roundabout leading into the premises.

2026, citizens should forget anything about dividends of democracy from these governors. 2027 and the coming years will be a brutal year for Nigerians. They don't know it yet, but they surely will.

If it's a popular move as Agbadorians will have us believe, why is this the case? The defection was slated for today but it has been indefinitely postponed again for the third time. What is happening? Lessons!

Kano is divided between Kwankwaso (60%), APC (30%), Atiku (8%), Others including Peter Obi (2%).

If Kwankwaso is on the ballot for ADC in 2027 as VP, ADC will get 1.2 million votes in Kano, APC gets 550,000 votes.

Yusuf's defection to APC will only benefit his re-election because he won't need to worry about any opposition having more campaign money, but it won't benefit Tinubu as long as Kwankwaso doesn't move to APC.

There is wild jubilation all over kano as the governor will defect this week.

Kano is now 100% for Asuwaju the Maradona

Peter obi will soon defect to APC after Atiku clinch the ADC ticket.

Obi already in talks with wike on how to pacify Asuwaju to accept him as APC member.

Kwakwa the paperweight politician that sees himself as heavyweight should just relax. Arrogance and over calculation seems to be killing him.

If he accepted vp slot from Obi then just to grab power, I’m sure by now he will be the one ruling because that lady called Obi would have renegaded power to him but out of pride he missed out. Now, Tinubu’s APC tried to woo him, again out of pride, he gave bizarre conditions. Presently, he’s been outsmarted with the only governor his party has, in my opinion, he should just quit politics and start Fura de nunu’s business.
