Why not start with Nigerian used 2009/2010 corolla or camry? Perfect for ur price range. Corolla for fuel economy or camry for more roominess

That was how Tinubu deceived us with APC change in 2015 using his expired Buhari of four years earlier, only to scam us with renewed hope in 2023 again.

Anyway, the OP should get a car that is fuel efficient since APC leaders looters have failed to deliver their promises for cheap fuel.

Deltafirstson:
Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.

In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.

Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.

Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.

At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.

However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

Buhari’ll reduce petrol to N40/L —David-West

FORMER Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West, said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.”

Let's start from your location and what car is common there. So, where do you live? Also, how long do you intend to use the car you want to buy now? Is it going to be a highly (pimped) private thing, a family thing, or a casual thing as a business man or someone that doesn't really care much about things? Are you a 9-5 person or self-employed? Do you live in a gated compound or your own compound (gated/ungated?)? Or a family compound? How's your street? Good? Tarred? Untarred? What set of people do you have in your neighborhood: rich, well to do, or poor/thugs? Are you married or single? If single, when do hope to get married?

These and more are questions you need to answer for yourself, as they can influence a lot of things about your life after getting the car. Don't be too centered on buying a car, but also consider your life after the car. Once you answer these questions, I can advise further.

Nail it on the head
Kingluqman:
As a first time car owner;

Don't buy any other car brand apart from these 2 cars below:

1. Toyota Corolla Sport 2007
2. Honda Civic 2010.

No matter how they sweet talk any other car brand to you as a first time car owner, even if it's cheap, please don't buy, or else you will learn the CRY way.

But with either of these 2 cars, you are good to go!!!

I can also recommend to you "Toyota Yaris". You will definitely enjoy it also.

Don't let them decide you with Horse power, you have no business with speed oo grin

Louiscars:
2007 Toyota Camry ( solid car, but you’ll most likely face oil burn issues later on )
2005-2008 corolla ( actually a good option, just get a car tracker if you opt for it, it’s a thieve magnet )
2005 -6 Toyota Highlander ( you probably have kids or would need something with a higher ground clearance , it’s very reliable but then it’s a v6 )
- 2008 Honda Crv, honestly, this is the best option for you, absolutely wonderful cuv, nice interior has ground clearance, 4 plugs engine, maintenance friendly, fit the budget perfectly, just make sure you get a good unit
Whenever you’re ready to get any vehicle generally you can always reach out to me on 08028992075

Then get the 2011 Camry ( the one that still looks like a muscle Camry but then has a better engine ) for a tokunbo unit you should be looking at 10.5-11m max and 8-8-5 m for a good Nigerian used unit
A 2012 -2013 Camry would suffice also has a much refined look, and still very reliable and maintenance friendly, 14.5-15m for higher trims like se and XLE and a registered unit about 10m-11.5m
2010-2011 corolla, very economical on gas, simple ride and would do everything you need it to do, it can be a bit pricy though ( 7-8m for Nigerian used unit ) and 12m for a toks unit
- 2010
2012 Honda civic - a very good alternative to the corolla
I no gree this one o

Can it outrun an ordinary V6 car, let alone turbocharged or V8shuh
