This is partly due to the high level of assimilation of Portugal and France and their former colonies

That just goes to show the french are more receptive than most countries in assimilating migrants/foreigners.

I don't fully agree, what they should do is put a limit to the number of foreign born players that can be in the squad at any given time. How can over 90% of your team be from another country? That's speaks volumes about the sports development in that country.
