CSTRR:
Chukwueze betrayed the boys today.

Playing against a north African home team in the semifinals of a completion, is not an easy feat for the team.

To play that kind of lakaidasical penalty after coming on in less than 10 minutes ago, is a betrayal to all the hard work that the team has made to drag the game to penalty.

If he had not threw away the penalty, we probably may have won.

Useless fucking player.
He was never supposed to play that penalty. He came in exactly 120 minutes into game, at the very end. It is common knowledge, players that haven't spent time on the pitch are not supposed to play penalties.

Nigerians shaa... the team lost una say referee is biased, Chukwueze is a this and that....
The team played with composure and played well, that's why we were able to take the game to penalties without conceding.
Before the penalties, for the first time, I saw the team talking about strategy and all... I even thought we'll win. Kudos to the team and kudos to the coach too.

Morocco deserve the win. Nigeria relied on only one game plan which didn't work in this match. They couldn't adapt to Morocco and apply another approach.

The coach was clueless in this match. Nigeria had a stalemate for a long time and he couldn't come out with a viable plan. We were just hanging in there and were lucky to get to penalties.
One of the most reasonable comments I have seen so far. Nigeria simply lost the midfield war. If I were the coach, I would have fielded a 4-5-1. Choke the midfield and wait for chances to strike. The loss of Ndidi also affected us as well cos he brings stability to the middle. Practically, Morocco played a 3-4-3 formation where the wing backs kept trying to overlap. Their plan was to choke us with arrays of attack to compromise our defence cos they obviously studied our pattern and trust me, that defence is solid. Hardluck we try again next time.

Chukwueze suffers from ADHD problems nowadays, and it is tied to his social media addiction.

For me the coach and the player did great but the penalty takers should be strong enough, not a random players, we should have learned from our past mistakes e.g congo, Eric Chelle needs to work on penalty takers. As for chukwueze I say "weldone for passing to the keeper".

They didn't play pur normal game...they were being careful, more defensive than attacking.

Home advantage is a huge advantage. It is the hosting country

The coach decided to bring in nonchalant chukewze!
I blame the coach for tonight's loss, no changes should have being made.

Onuachu scored. This thing you're saying is not a fact, before today we've had instances in penalties where players who came in as subs in extra time scored and also where players who came in as sub missed. It's football.

FOR ALL WE KNOW, THE WHOLE THING WAS JUST AN ARRANGEE GAME.

Behind the scenes CAF may have told us ''the king spent $10 billion on stadiums and infrastructure for all this, and if the team is knocked out, the country could turn against him... To compensate you, here is $5 million for each Nigerian player, from his royal highness the king. Play to lose gallantly.''

MAYBE THAT'S WHY THE PREVIOUSLY SUPER, UNSTOPPABLE TEAM SUDDENLY 'FORGOT' HOW TO RUN AND PASS AND SHOOT.

Banbanna:

Based on those stats, Morocco deserved to go through to the final and were the better side.
Our game was really slow tonight and they didn't just allow us play our normal game.
And if we had been in the final, our best player in this game, Calvin Bassey would not have been there coz of his 2 yellow cards.
At least we put up a fight by taking them to penalties. Them Boyz try!😋

Nobody stopped you from playing your game. Nigeria clearly didn't have a midfield which has been her biggest problem because Ndidi wasn't in the game.

Because Ndidi (the capitan of the team) wasn't in the game, Onyedika couldn't take his place. He kept making mistakes throughout his playtime.

Moroccans took over the game and dominated it from begining to end. SE players were too scared to launch an offensive because they knew that the midfield was nonexistent.

With Simon and other subs, the game later changed a bit better for us, and the fluidity in play was glaringly better until the whistle was blown. Chukwueze played a very lazy, weak and intentionally careless penalty there. He yeye us

why wouldnt a forward player that has been playing elite football in Europe for more than 10yrs not take PK in AFCON, if not that he is unserious

We sold ourselves to pressure. Our game was too slow, lacking the intensity and technical know-how to disorganised a well organised defence. That kind of match needed a striker like Osimto be fed repeatedly. He was starved! Lookman couldn't get the usual passes he needed from Iwobi because our game plan was too visible and wee read by the MC. Well, if that was the instruction from the coach, it worked a bit but ostentatious us this match. If Osimhen got enough passes, things would have changed a bit.
The Coach did not do his homework well in this game....Our defense was solid but the midfield was nothing to write home about which affected the attack and for 120 mins the coach did not deem it for to change tactics, he has tried though but its disappointing the way we succumb even after the advantage we got that Chukwueze threw away
