Aidoko2:Thank God oh, at least the church is not the problem of Nigeria. If not for the maturity of the church, Nigeria would be doomed by now. Thank God for the positivity of the church. Because of the church there are good schools to make choices from, there are good hospitals to go, some persons and families have means of livelihood, the church spreads peace, love and humanity in it's path way, these amongst a whole lot more, wow what a good thing, the church is great. I love the church. |

lyrose:My sister,if the government's policy is favourable, there is nothing stopping us from exporting our palm products after satisfying the local demands. |

ernesco0816517:Even that Cocoa used to be a major product from Nigeria. To the extent we have "Cocoa House" in Ibadan. But we left all that and started chasing after nonsense. How did we loose that and became unproductive all over? |

China topping so many categories really shows how scale beats everything else. Even when they’re not the most efficient, sheer volume puts them at the top of the list again and again. |

plainlogic000:Yet some people think China is not the biggest economy on Earth |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Love800(m): 10:43am On Jan 15 |
What is the meaning of reserves pls? korrectcanada: |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by lawani(m): 2:19pm On Jan 15 |
Love800:Reserves is oil that you have under the ground which in some cases is not economically recoverable |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by ernesco0816517(m): 2:24pm On Jan 15 |

ernesco0816517:Ghana is now making more from cocoa on a per Capita basis than we make from crude oil in Nigeria. They make six billion dollars from cocoa and ten billion dollars in all from agric export. We make around twenty billion dollars from oil. We are 220 million and they are 33 million |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Love800(m): 5:15pm On Jan 15 |
Thanks so much. Can you please explain the "economically recoverable?" lawani: |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Pacesetter123(m): 5:50pm On Jan 15 |
It's a shame that only 1 African country is able to make the list. No wonder the entire Africa is very poor economically and otherwise. Producing nothing but depending on importation to feed herself is the greatest undoing of black Africans. Can you imagine that Indonesia/Malaysia that came to Uyo in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria few decades ago to receive training on how to grow palm oil trees and how to extract the oil from the seeds and couldn't grab anything about the lesson but have to carry the oil palm experts farmers there in Uyo to their land to help them plant the seedlings are now the leading producers of palm oil in the world? |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by lawani(m): 6:44pm On Jan 15 |
Pacesetter123:Nigeria is the largest producer of cassava, kolanuts etc. Cote D'Ivoire is highest producer of cocoa. If we have 50 billion dollars per annum worth of cassava the Chinese will buy it if the price is favorable to them |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Pacesetter123(m): 8:01pm On Jan 15 |
lawani:Then why are we not in the list? Or does it mean cassava is not a recognizable product to the world market? |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by lawani(m): 8:07pm On Jan 15 |
Pacesetter123:The op could not have put every product on the list. Also, we are the largest producer but not largest exporter of cassava |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by lawani(m): 12:05am On Jan 16 |
Love800:It may cost 65 dollars per barrel to extract crude when the price is only 60 dollars per barrel. In such a scenario the crude is not economically recoverable. Some crude like Venezuela crude is also heavy and reports say it costs 18 percent more to refine and that will make buyers price it lower |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Ochyes: 9:09am On Jan 16 |
Wetin Naija con de produce na. If you want to be prosperous, you got to be productive. |

Way all the, dey want to steal our African resources people. No African country is a major mineral resources exporter on that list apart from ivory Coast. It's obvious the World can do without Africa. |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by blueAgent(m): 10:40am On Jan 16 |
sweetjohn:I wonder. Those are lies promoted by lazy African youths who refuse to hold their leaders accountable, but take comfort in fake propaganda. |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by blueAgent(m): 10:42am On Jan 16 |
RaptorX:That's not true. |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by lawani(m): 11:17am On Jan 16 |
blueAgent:Cocoa in Ivory coast is not a mineral resources |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by RaptorX: 12:46pm On Jan 16 |
blueAgent:What is not true, Google the top producers of everything I mentioned and Africa is in top 5. |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Love800(m): 8:13pm On Jan 16 |
I couldn't digest your comment. Difficult to understand. Wish you could use a simple layman's explanation to pass the message. Anyway, i appreciate. lawani: |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by lawani(m): 10:26am On Jan 17 |
Love800:If you sell water that you draw from a well for fifty naira a bucket but the cost of drawing up the water is now 55 naira, it means the water is no longer economically recoverable |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by Love800(m): 11:01am On Jan 17 |
Yea. That means the production cost is high. And they may result to shortages or being underpaid. Nice one. I appreciate. Have a splendid and great day ahead. lawani: |

RaptorX:Crude oil. Which African country is in top 5? |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by RaptorX: 3:53pm On Jan 17 |
blueAgent:Where in my comment did I mention crude oil, oga believe whatever you want. |
| Re: Top Producing Countries by blueAgent(m): 3:56pm On Jan 17 |
RaptorX:Sorry I did not look at your comments. I just wanted to point out the fact that, many key Mineral resources produced globally Africa countries don't count. |
