Hello everyone,

I'm currently living in Germany and just shared a YouTube video explaining 7 important laws that changed in 2026, especially for foreigners - jobs, Mini-Jobs, Blue Card salary, transport ticket, healthcare, and worker protection.

I'm still a small creator, but I made this because many people ask the same questions every day.
If you re interested, you can watch it here.

Good evening seniors,
Please I need assistance with this Germany University Admission process. I have Bsc. Ed in Biology (not pure science based but education and science combined) with strong GPA (4.04/5.0). I want to apply for MSc in either Biology (Science) or Education. I am also looking at changing to health related program like public health or health science because I am currently working as a Care worker in the UK.
Please what do you advise that I go for, to have high chances for admission and future job prospects in Germany.
I will appreciate your input.

Hi everyone, please I need some advice. In 2024, I received a conditional admission from the University of Duisburg Essen, with admission to a German language course in preparation for my Bachelor’s degree. When booking my appointment, I selected long term study visa (Bachelor).
I’m a bit confused now, should I have applied under a language course visa or it is still considered a long term study visa?. I’m considering applying again to same university and course since my appointment date is fast approaching.
I’d really appreciate any guidance 🙏🙏🙏.

Hello everyone, I'm new here!

I am interest for MSc program in Germany, I have background in accounting.

I have checked schools but its seems application for admission is not open yet...

If my course is taught in English language, do I still need to present German language cert
for visa application.

Your advise of the best program either in Finance or accounting and school will be appreciated.

I don't think you understand his question. If his course is taught in English then he doesn't need German language Certificate for visa purpose.

Yes, you need to proficient in German .

Hallo,
I am currently wrapping up my masters degree in University of Ibadan and will love to apply for my PhD, I am studying Sport Organisation and Administration (M.Ed), I will love to know if it will be easy to get a scholarship and admission, most importantly, visa appointment?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Windflower(f): 12:23pm On Jan 22
Hello, Please what if you get a university scholarship via phd with stipend. That should cancel block account requirement right? Also, please do you have an idea on visa processing timeline, some people used to say they apply for the visa before commencing admission processing but if we go by this and one has not gotten the scholarship as at the time of visa application. That means block account is still valid. Please, if you know any german telegram or whatsapp group. That would be helpful. I am looking to apply for phd in public health related courses.

Hello everyone,

Pls I have gotten admission and I tried to apply for visa appointment last year but the website said the wait time is indefinite. Now I checked again and this is the msg now:

"The German mission responsible for you is currently at full capacity. No new applications are being accepted at the moment. You have the option to register, draft your application and join the waiting list. You will then be notified as soon as you can submit your application.
Estimated waiting time: approx. 2-8 weeks"

So if I submit my application after the waiting time, how long would I have to wait to get a visa appointment or interview?

Yes, you can

Hello again Everyone,

Last night I quoted this post to validate a product idea for Nigerians who wish to study in Germany but are unable to commit the required €11,904 German blocked-account requirement for student visa, but unfortunately, the post was deleted with no reason.

I know this would be deleted too but, before then, the moderator deleting this should ask themselves how they're helping Nigerians earn enough for their blocked account. This was the solution I offered before it was deleted.

My post was only to validate. This is how to build a great startup, validate first. If this platform is against helping to build Nigerian Startups, I'll move elsewhere. For context, below is the post again:

Skills-for-Blocked Account Funds (SFBAF)

Hello everyone,
We are offering a structured “Skills-for-Blocked Account Funds” pathway where developers execute paid projects and earnings are escrowed toward the €11,904 German blocked-account requirement for a student visa.

Please request clarification if needed.

Thank you

I think the message was hidden from the public, now it's visible.
you said you applied 2025, when did you apply please and how long did it take in the new portal for the whole process?

I think it depends on how long the course is. I also think it’s best you email the embassy?
Please when did you start your application process was it 2024 or 2025?
Was it also in the new portal?

I am a first class graduate August 2024 but i was told to unselecte scholarship on the new portal since i am not a scholarship holder.

Novainni:
To apply as a first class student on the new portal, apply as a scholarship applicant and upload evidence of your first class as the evidence of scholarship
