Please is it possible to do M.Sc with your previous B.Sc while running another first degree in same school as full time Nigeria?

It's rear to have dual studentship in the same school but I don't know if it is impossible, let those in the system educate us on that please

It's not possible to run multiple programmes in the same sch concurrently simply because you're only allowed a matric number at a time.

But Postgraduate School is different from the normal Undergraduate school and PGS matric number not same with Ugrt,I thought the 2 operate independently.

You actually have a point. I can't right now remember if my undgrt matric was maintained at PG school.

It can't be same, Postgraduate Matricv mostly start PG or contains PG. It is 2 different administrative and academic schools.

Why bother about that when you can apply to two different institutions and run it concurrently

Yes I know it work like that but running the 2 in same school is the clarification am asking cos it doable in Overseas especially UK,just want to know if possible in Nigeria.

That one na double stress with this current Petrol price,I think it will be easier if possible in same school than different schools.

It is not possible in Nigeria. You can only run it in different schools. Not same school.

You want to have different Matric Num in the same school at the same time?

Or you want to use same Matric Num for different degrees at the same time

Your identity at a University at a particular time T is your Matric Number...It can't be duplicated. It is just one and one person Only.

It is possible as far as your qualifications match both degrees, the school believes you can do both, and you have the time to do so concurrently. Although, I dont think it is humanly possible, except you are super human. You will need to do a lot of convincing for them to allow you. Your best option is to run a dual programme, one begins, immediately as one ends.

Outside Nigeria I think it's possible...I don't knw if its possible in Nigeria oo...

The correct word and spelling is rare not rear.

PG is a sch on its own. It is absolutely possible. It is running two undergraduate programmes concurrently that's the problem. Its like asking if u can be doing diploma and degree program concurrently

Yes it is possible
BUT
1. Only if your school is NOT aware and it is entirely only known to you (meaning two different facilities)
2. You wouldn't seek for appointment in your school at any time because they will query the timeline of the two degrees.

see people we argue with on nairaland saying if he actually used his undergrad matric number for his pgd How possible..You were an undergrad, finished your studies and graduated...You decided to come back for your pgd yet thinking you will still use the same matric number for a different academic foray..How??

As for the OP, yes many schools in Nigeria will allow that for especially PART-TIME..You already had a bsc and you are pursuing your masters on the previous BSC not the current one that makes an undergrad.. But make sure the schedules do not overlap

It's not possible anywhere, neither home nor abroad!
