Issues with my 2008 Accord V6 Navi Model Can anyone provide clues or directions on this.. Vehicle in question: Honda Accord 2008 V6 Navi model I dropped off my vehicle with a popular auto-workshop around Billingsway for oil leak repairs that required the technicians to pull out the engine from the vehicle. On completion, all the instrument clusters stopped working, except for the fuel gauge and the A/B trip computer only. There’s no feedback from: — the speedometer, — temperature gauge, — odometer — the car information dashboard — the gear selector indicator — the air-conditioning (it only blows hot air, their A/C technician says he can’t diagnose any issue that’s causing it). — the diagnostic control None of the OBS diagnostic tools is reading any information from the vehicle. Nothing is coming up. All their 3 diagnostics tools worked fine with the vehicle just prior to them undertaking the repairs. There’s no other security set up on the vehicle except Honda’s security set up. I’ve checked to see if that’s the issue. It doesn’t seem to be. The implication is that my vehicle cannot be in use, otherwise I will be driving blind. Mechanical-wise, the vehicle’s operation seems good. But I can’t ever be comfortable driving a vehicle where no vehicle information is available Prior to this particular repair, all functions and instruments in the vehicle worked perfectly and in good condition. In over 5 years of use, this is the first time of undergoing any significant maintenance/repairs. It is now 5 weeks since I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle, and till date they have not been able to resolve whatever the issue is. I am counting my losses at this point, as I have to look elsewhere to get this fixed; but I need guidance from any of the professionals on here. I will also be holding them liable for the cost of repairs of this particular issue. |

MBBA:Seems like you’re having CAN communication issues from the cluster to the vehicles vital control unit ( ECU/ TCM) - since you can’t scan the vehicle first thing I’ll do is to check for battery power at pin 16 of the dlc port. - inspect dlc fuse and all other fuse generally - inspect all vehicle ground since engine was removed - check can high and can low readings at the dlc port (3.5v and 1.5v ) - check terminating resistance between can high and low also ( should be 60 ohms thereabouts - through a wiring diagram check both can high and low wires to the instrument cluster ( if all of the above checks out which I doubt it would ) - lastly maybe getting another cluster to test for a dead cluster ( this I really doubt if all the whole info isn’t available ) For your AC - most likely when they took out the engine they loosened out the condenser unit for space and now you need Freon ( gas ) to cool again NB ALL TO BE DONE BY A TECHNICIAN |

MBBA:Those auto-whatever are very useless. They still consult kazeem to come and work for them and then pay him small change from the big money they charged you. Imagine!!! They wasted 5 weeks to fix oil leak problem and then added another wahala as jara to your car. Something kazeem will fix with close monitoring at most 1 week. And I'm very sure that the oil leak issue might still be there and it's until you drive on a long distance before you realise it. Sorry man!!! Make sure they pay for that damage on your car. |

Good evening house, Please, at what point do you think it is necessary to get a new catalytic converter for a Honda accord 2010? And if one is to get this, do you go for the Japanese/korean version or the Chinese version or just get Belgium used? |

Civic 08, Honda accord 8th gen or CRV 08 which one is get to go car and reason? |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Louiscars: 7:32pm On Jan 22 |
barackmojeed:All great vehicles - I’d take the civic if I want the best economy - I’d take the accord if I want a larger sedan and Comparable to a Toyota Camry - I’d take the CRV if I wanted ground clearance and would probably need cargo space All vehicles are great options honestly, I hope this helps. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by chillex8(m): 8:15pm On Jan 22 |
barackmojeed:Take Accord with R20 engine. Fuel economy and relatively better ground clearance |

Heklo guys. I have a stubborn parasitic drain in my car. I've disconnected all the fuses one by one including relays, and I'm Still getting a reading of 0.15 - 0.20 amps. The lowest I've gotten so far is 0.07 after disconnecting a socket on the driver's side fusebox. I tested an highlander and I got 0.03 amps draw. Honda accord 2009.

Thank you for your input but Honda civic body part tends to wear out faster. The one I have seen so far looks fragile to me. Kaymax2222: |
