Originally it was only BLACK!...before the boers overwhelmed your weak country, though Shaka Zulu did his best... the rest came from as a result of your nation's culture, tradition and true identity being defeated and you all have no choice than to accept those rubbish you wrote up there as Africans... true Africans are Originally BLACK in melanin with some who are lighter in complexion, he's not African by descent but an European!, you can deceive yourself all you like.

For someone who claims to have an anthropology degree, you're utterly clueless..

A mestizo is a person of mixed European (primarily Spanish/Portuguese) and Indigenous American ancestry, meaning, before the European even set foot in Latin America..mestizos didn't exist.. but are now are a recognized ethnic group within Latin America eg.. Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico..eg..

Colored South Africans came of the same way..

A more nuanced answer would be:
A colored person in the SOuth african context is mixed raced person.

A Biracial person is also a mixed race person as well. ( mixed with black and white)

They are genetically and phenotypically the same thing however "culturally" they may differ.
