There are some news items on Nairaland that one should resist the urge to comment on, no matter how compelling or appealing they may be. One such news item is this. How can anyone say Atiku is a democrat simply because his biological child publicly moved to a rival political party and even promised to work for the success of his father’s opponent?
It shows that Atiku has failed in his duty as a father, because there is no way a father who shares a proper father–son relationship would allow his son to publicly denounce his aspirations. This is Nigeria, not the USA or Greece, where democracy originated.

If Tinubu wins in 2027, it's a win for the Atikus and if Atiku wins in 2027, it's still a win for the Atikus. Same thing Hell Rufai and Son. Son in Apc, father in ADC. (Associates of defeated criminals). Our Eastern people should learn from this.

Even, south east is finally learning the proper way to play national politics. But the next general election results will tell Nigerians if they have really learnt and ready.

Atiku will get ADC ticket because he's still going to be the highest bidder as usual because delegates will sell their votes to the highest bidder as usual unless he voluntarily step down and refuse to contest pry election. It's a political strategy just as Hell Rufai son was left behind in APC while the father is fighting Tinubu under ADC. Tinubu understand and he is more experienced than that.

Why do you think El rufai children have not also defected to ADC?

What information is there to fish? Politics is local. How election is won/rigged in Akwa Ibom is different from how it is done in Sokoto. His defection is only symbolic, he might get an appointment or contracts here and there.
