Negative People Should Avoid Me” — Obi Cubana Says He Has Given His Life to Christ

Popular Nigerian businessman and socialite Obinna Iyiegbu, widely known as Obi Cubana, has announced that he has given his life to Christ, marking a new phase in his personal and spiritual journey.

The billionaire entrepreneur made the declaration during a recent conversation with Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International and convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD). Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Speaking during the discussion, Obi Cubana described his decision as personal and deliberate, stressing that he was not influenced or pressured by anyone to embrace Christianity.

“I am a new creature in Christ, a human after Christ. I have given my life to Christ. This was my personal decision. Nobody prompted me,” he said.

He explained that he chose to make the announcement publicly by himself to avoid speculation and to clearly state his commitment to his new faith.

According to Obi Cubana, he plans to attend church regularly and grow deeper in his understanding of God’s word, adding that he is determined to remain steadfast in his faith.

“I will be going to church every Sunday. I want to grow in the knowledge of God,” he stated.

Pastor Jerry Eze, who confirmed the development, assured that arrangements have already been made to provide Obi Cubana with spiritual guidance and discipleship to help him stay grounded and consistent in his Christian walk.

The businessman also addressed critics and skeptics, urging negative-minded individuals to stay away from him as he begins this new chapter.

“God has given me influence, especially among the youth. So all you naysayers and negative people, don’t go and bring bad vibe to me. Just believe,” Obi Cubana said.

He expressed confidence that God would use his influence to positively impact young people and lead many to Christ.

Pastor Jerry Eze expressed optimism about Obi Cubana’s spiritual journey, stating that he believes the businessman will grow steadily in faith and use his platform for positive transformation.

The announcement has since generated widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians congratulating the businessman and wishing him well on his new spiritual path.

Funny you. Obi Cubana who went to religious DMGS founded by missionaries. He's always been steeped in Christianity. He just means he'll be taking his faith more seriously. Kudos to him.
