A shocking incident in western Uganda left many people stunned after a hippopotamus swallowed a 2-year-old boy and then spat him out alive. The incident happened near Lake Edward in the Kasese district while the child was playing close to his home. According to local police, the hippo suddenly attacked the toddler, grabbing him by the head and swallowing part of his body.

A nearby man noticed the attack and quickly threw stones at the animal. Startled by the noise, the hippopotamus released the child and moved back into the water. The boy was rushed to a nearby medical facility where he was treated for injuries to his arm and later given preventive vaccinations.

Doctors confirmed that the child survived and was discharged after receiving proper care. Authorities described the incident as extremely rare and advised residents living near wildlife areas to stay alert and keep children away from dangerous animals.

The poster said the hippo swallowed a boy and later vomited him out alive which am disputing to be false. I didn't say hippos don't terrorise people.
