The people of the state are with SIM and nothing will come out of this impeachment plot. Rivers have the potential to compete with Lagos state but unfortunately politicians are not allowing the state to move forward.

COMRADES, this is a welcome development. All the ennemies of the progress of Rivers State and Fubara will bury their faces in shame. That is how the process will delayed till Fubara makes his way to the second term

I pity Rivers people, because, all these distractions are affecting what they would have enjoyed as dividend of democracy, funny enough, our online e-warrios don't know who to support, APC governor or Wile PDP.

Re: Nma Odu: Court Restrains Rivers CJ From Receiving Impeachment Notice by BondRiv:
The current Chief Judge of Rivers State with the allegation of forgery dangling over his head is an embarrassment and shamelessly corrupt. In saner climes, he would be out of office and under prosecution. The man is a politician masquerading as a judge. By his conducts, he has consistently shown that he believes the judiciary is a department of the Executive Branch. He will end up prolonging this crisis. No governance without legislative inputs and checks.

The judiciary is not yet ready to be independent and taken seriously. In as much as the Chief Judge has chosen to be subservient to the governor and has developed the habit of begging at every public function, he should not interfer with the duties of the legislature. This is the worst administration in Rivers State. Fubara is a mistake.

I have gone through the grounds of impeachment. There is no way the governor escapes any panel without being found liable. The governor and his deputy are clearly guilty of gross misconduct. They can't defend it. That is why they are evading. The Supreme Court had already indicted Fubara as a despot.

The impeachment will proceed and be heard on its merits. If the Chief Judge won't perform his function, the lawmakers will proceed and set up the panel. That is the only option. They must perform their constitutional duty. If they impeach the governor and his deputy, let them go to the Supreme Court.

Those lawmakers should allow Fubara do the work he was elected to perform as Governor for the people of Rivers state. The state has already been deprived their Governor for 6 months during the period of state of emergency.
Re: Nma Odu: Court Restrains Rivers CJ From Receiving Impeachment Notice by hotseat: 10:12pm On Jan 16
This is merely postponing the doomsday!

The Amaewhule camp would have to approach a higher court to vacate this illegal exparte order.

Governors have been impeached in the past and adding Fubara to the list won't make any difference.

Except there's a political solution, the battle continues and Fubara may sing the nunc dimittis in the long run.

Why can't Wike leave this gentleman and allow him to concentrate on governance? If not that you're selfish, almost 90% of all political appointments in Rivers state was nominated by you thus putting the governor in a tight corner. You feel you're untouchable because you're in position of authority today. Remember some people have held those positions before and are no more, know that nothing lasts forever. Your saving grace is because President Tinubu made you FCT minister, if he should remove remove you today, Fubara can stop you from entering Rivers State. Why do you people even feel everything must revolve around you? I understand Fubara might be backtracking on some agreements but if the thing wan choke am for neck, won't he complain?

Dead on arrival, no court can stop the legislators from doing their constitutional duty.
The court can temporarily stop a legislator from performing certain duties, but only in limited, lawful circumstances.

Also courts are reluctant to issue injunctions stopping impeachment, but may do so where:
1. There is clear and grave constitutional violation
2. The process is patently illegal

So yes, the court also has a role to play too....
