Rivers Governor Fubara Denies Sacking Rivers CJ, CoS, Others by Naija2023: 1:23pm On Oct 31, 2023
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has denied reports in a section of the media that he had sacked the State Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi; his Chief of Staff, Hon. Chidi Amadi; and suspended the Chairmen of the 23 Local Government Areas.

“This is to clarify that His Excellency has not given me such directive as the official spokesman of the state government as of today, Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

“Our dear governor is a technocrat, with a robust civil service background, kind-hearted and a very humane person who does things according to laid down rules and with the fear of God.

“We therefore ask Rivers people and the general public to jettison such unconfirmed reports as the public will be properly informed of who may have been removed by His Excellency at the appropriate time.

“It is pertinent to note that as the Commissioner for Information and Communication, I shall keep the public updated on events in due course.

How can Wike be asking for 25% of Rivers monthly allocations


Sim paid two months see say e dey affect the state pocket


As a Rivers man he say I no pay again you go manage 10%


Oga before you talk rubbish imagine taking 10% of Rivers monthly allocation


If them give you 1% of Rivers allocation for just one month your family no fit poor again


But this is what Wike will be getting every month for 8yrs

The only power you have in a democratic system of government is "majority". No matter how powerful you are, if majority of power brokers are not on your side, you are as good as dead. A smart politician don't fight Godfathers if majority of power brokers are not on his side

If 24 out of 32 members of state house of assembly are not on his side, it tells how terribly he might fall if he continue fighting with them. Besides, it is too early to fight a Godfather that singlehandedly installed him as governor. The best bet for him is to make peace with them at least for now because with influence Wike had at both federal level and PDP, he will surely lose the second term ticket.

He should be happy that it is with a lousy person like Wike, if it is Tinubu, he would just be watching him and denies him of second term ticket, just like the way they did to Ambode. Oshiomole did the same to Obaseki, if not for PDP that rescued him, he would not have gotten the second term.

It's obvious Wike has sent allies to intermediate.... Holding PDP Rivers state is his only bargaining chip right now on APC because its PDP's Financial strength.. elections are over, Judiciary is pointless..
