A Lagos father, Samuel Alozie, is seeking justice after his nine-month-old identical twin sons, Testimony and Timothy, allegedly died 24 hours after receiving routine immunisation at a primary health care centre in Lagos.


Alozie, who shared a heartbreaking video on TikTok showing the twins’ remains in body bags, has sparked widespread outrage.

According to Alozie, the twins became weak and lethargic after receiving the injection, and despite adhering to the instructions given by the nurse at the health care centre, they died on Christmas Day, 25 December 2025.


He claimed the twins were healthy and had no prior illnesses before taking them to the centre and therefore suspects foul play.

“They were strong and sound. I took them for immunisation not because they were sick, but because it was the right thing to do.

“They were very weak after the injection. We gave them paracetamol as instructed, but nothing changed. By the next morning, both of them were gone.”

The grieving father denied claims from the primary health care centre alleging that the deaths were caused by food-related bacteria.

Expressing concern about the investigation into the issue, he said he is afraid the outcome may be manipulated, since the health care centre is a government facility.

He appealed for legal and public support, saying, “I cannot afford to pursue justice alone, and I am also scared I may not get justice. I need justice for them.”

The Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Primary Health Care Board have yet to comment on the incident or release the autopsy results.

This is what happens when majority of our professionals are all scattered abroad seeking greener pastures and we are left with novice. I’m not concluding on the cause of the death, I’m just stating my obvious concern of how most firms have degenerated and it’s actually a sad and unfortunate situation. I’ve already gotten to the juncture where I hardly receive any treatment whatsoever if it’s not from my family doctor or a trusted person.

What people think: they have solution to my ailment at the hospital

In reality: nurses make mistakes that could be costly.

We all should be careful where we get our treatments from. Our prayers are with the parents of the departed.

Hmmm... humans are very complex creature and taking medicine, sometimes, na complex process..,..it goes beyond "no be tablets, no be syrup, no be injections, no be vaccines" ..

As common as paracetamol is, wey everyone dey take am, some people dare not...if they do and there is not intervention..na die.

Thorough investigation will have to be done to ascertain what caused this unfortunate incident...the irony, it may not have anything to do with the healthcare providers...it may just be the body system of these beautiful souls that was lost too soon.

Don't be too emotional about the situation. Do you know how many children get immunisation from the PHC?
if the PHC was responsible for the death of the children, very may children would have been kill by the vaccine.

It could be that the very nurse that administered the vaccine on the kids was too high handed or incompetent or the PCM given to the children after the vaccine was adulterated or expired.

Serious investigation must be done. Which healthcare area is that? He supposed to mention that, and let all other women who used that place around that time also comes out and make their own observations because that is very strange nne.
Hope it is not someone else that poisoned those kids because we leave in a wicked world now. There must be serious investigation and the team who administered the vaccines should be questioned and investigated.

At 9 months, are they supposed to receive injection or oral immunization?? I think they were still tender to receive injection for immunization.

Those quoting me are mostly ignorant. At 9 months, a baby should be administered vaccine through the mouth and not injections unless in some exceptional cases.

If they were following the Nigerian Vaccine schedule, 9 month immunization is Measles, Yellow Fever and Meningitis.

Now, FG is the one who buys vaccines and distributes to the country (you can't buy vaccines and no manufacturer will sell you a little quantity and the entire chain must be cold-storage).

If no other children died or got sick from taking any shot during that PHC vaccine day, something went terribly wrong.PHC see hundreds of babies every vaccine day, why only these 2 with bad outcome?

If both babies went lethargic, then he should have taken them straight to the hospital immediately he noticed, rather than administer PCM. Some babies are sleepy after shots but not for the whole day. Allergic reactions will look like fussiness, strong fever and hives (rashes all over), they they struggle to breathe. Not quiet lethargy and death in 24 hours.

It may be the Paracetamol given to them (PCM), it needs to be tested. Lethargy and immediate death sounds like a drug reaction, not a vaccine reaction.

They need to take the bottle of paracetamol to a lab and have it tested immediately. Was it a new bottle, where did the parents get it from?

It won't be the first time in Nigeria babies have died from taking contaminated drugs.

It couldn't have been the vaccine otherwise many other children that took it at the same time would have died too because many children are usually attended to on immunisation day. They should look at the paracetamol given to them and some other things done that same day.

I'm not being emotional. Im suspecting the nurse that administered that day. The man said it was a totally different nurse.

TBH our healthcare system in Nigeria these days is nothing to write home about. I think Agbo and local herbs will eventually be a good option in this country. Hospitals/Clinics now are like death traps.
Patients will not die before going to hospital but immediately they get there....... they kpai! Hospitals now are like killing machines. Quackery, carelessness, "money-first" syndrome, lack of facilities, JAPA moves , F.G. inconsistency on workers welfare,etc .....all these are issues.

I'm wondering, can this really be blamed on the nurse, considering she would have been giving other children vaccines without any issues?

Is the twins the only ones attended to that day? What medication did he gave them at home after the immunization?

Everywhere in the world, they inject babies from birth. In the US, a few hours after baby is done, vaccine shots are administered.

This issue is probably the PCM being contaminated and it won't be the first time

It's either something went wrong or they both goth the problem earlier from birth together, if it was one that died, Ehhe but the two dying is not normal plus if it was from the vaccine other kids would die too, the problem is from the nurse in particular, the string or the dosage
