Not sure the reason for your conclusion. But note that this is private sector and the investors are said to already have representatives on the board. Let’s encourage our own and foreign-private sector driven investments.

Embezzled by who exactly? Do u think the company haven't properly done their homework before agreeing to spend such huge amount? Those nigerian guys don't even have anywhere to run to in this world if they foolishly decide to flee with the $11m.

Very impressive achievement by these two young men.

Even more impressive is the fact that under this deal, a non executive board member of Peter Thiel''s company Palantir has joined the board of this Nigerian company created by these two young Igbo men.

For those who don't know, Peter Thiel is basically the guy who created Elon Musk and a lot of other tech billionaires. He's basically like a godfather in Silicon Valley. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time he has ever shown enough confidence in the commercial potential of an African tech startup company to invest in it.
Nice to know they decided to locate their operational base outside lagos where there won't be any bad belle.

There's nothing too complicated in producing sophisticated drones nigerian universities and even some tech firms are already doing just that in a smaller scale.

You could Not see anything Positive, but it is worrisome that you could Only see Embezzlement.
But did you know that this is a Private Firm ,unlike your Public Companies like NEPA DISCOS or NNPC,so it shows you don't understand or read with Meaning.
Indeed, many in Social Media are just for a quick Data,no more!

Shame to Nigerian criminal politicians, they can't invest in industries that boost security, all they know is to invest in hotels, hide money under soakaway and underground pits. Debased people.
Very primitive people that are not supposed to exist in this 21st century.

Very primitive, the worst of us are actually leading us...they are in politics just to make money not to develop the system or people.

If you steal, invest it to employ your people and safeguard your environment, where your siblings, family, friends and constituents live, the place you call home.

This is one of the reason westerners don't respect us, they see how we come try to hide stolen wealth in their country...I mean if we don't love ourselves or our country, how will others love it respect us?

Actually commendable, a good thing these things are being manufactured here, my only concern is that this startup will now be controlled by the United states, the federal government of Nigeria could have invested in this and made this a proper Nigerian thing, anyways it is what it is
Nigerian politicians that are only after how to loot billions and trillions from oil and gas proceeds will never have the intelligence to invest in promising tech start ups like these.

Life must go on even if nigeria is not working those two nigerian youths saw a problem and a vacuum and decided to use their tech inventions to provide solutions to the problem of insecurity in nigeria and africa that's exactly how genuine money is made and also making the environment we live in a better place to live in and prosper.

The best news of the day for me. Nigerian tech companies who are into drones and AI development need all the support and capital they can get from any legitimate source. Drones and AI are the future

Moumou. People are wanting ti make impact... especially atartups run by private individuals and looking for opportunities to do so. The only thing your moumou head can think of ia embezzlement... you seem to not understand the potential of drone tech around the world to undersrand that 11m is a small fish compared to what they could be making in 1 or 2 years time.

When a white man fosters your growth they indirectly have control. Him investing in the drone factory to have more surveillance info of African at hand, imagine in the near future when the US tries to eliminate another pan africanist they'll have big big data to use from this oga.

They are buying out a tech that's supposed to be made by Africans for Africa Security.... The irony is the government turned a blind man to these young men and now a white man is taking all this info to strength the US surveillance system over Africa.... The government are always to blame anyone that says otherwise is just a liar

Very impressive young men.

Money-Miss-Roads that are supposed to invest their privileges and loots are not. But they acquire Vanities they enjoy temporarily but become their burden for life.

We blame Lazy Youths, their start-ups all over the country is amazing without internal investment in their projects.

I do not care if foreigners believe in them and invest millions that the looters would not.
