mostob:Bro, I’m just angry at him for not seizing the opportunity to broaden the point tally whenever the opportunity presents itself This match isn’t where he should rest any player but that inter match, this match was suppose to be a must WIN Tbh, Arteta Dey f.uck up joor |

BlueRayDick:Trossard in midfield. Eze on the wing would be better. Both of them can even rotate. As for Gyokeres, maybe yhe coacj should start playing Merino as CF. We're playing better with that guy while Brock Lesnar was out injured. Merino at CF at least till Kai is fit. |

mostob:I agree with you that we may need to turn to Merino very soon. Maybe Arteta should start from Man Utd's match sef. We can't continue with Gyokeres like this. All through gbé first half crosses were made into the box but he was nowhere to be found |

Like someone said on X, “The only thing that can stop Arsenal from winning any Trophy this season is Arteta himself” |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 8:50pm On Jan 17 |
Shegzdave:There's no how we wan debate this thing, winning today was never his sole responsibility. The players had a bigger role to play and they failed. Martinelli and Zubi converted and Brock Lesnar scored that chance and we would have gone home with 3 points. All happened in the first half with Noni and Martinelli on the pitch I still don't agree that the fact he rested players made us drew the match. Trossard has not been himself lately and Saka has been ordinary this season. |

BlueRayDick:Yes, there is nothing special in Forest but what do they have to show for it? 1 points 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣..... There is a lot of inferiority complexes in this Fanbase, we celebrate mediocrity imagine Sir Alex of 2008 benching Ronaldo or Rooney in this type of game... You don't rotate your squad in a must win matches, this yeye man has kept Saka, Rice and Zubi on even when we are very comfortable lead in matches Spurs (4-1), Leeds (4-1) etc... Another bottling is in the offing again... It's like Netflix series... |

The excuse they used last season to bash the manager was that he's too stubborn by playing without a striker. We don buy striker now... Striker dey drop stinkers but we no hear pim. I just dey imagine na Sesko we buy. We for don dey hear now say the coach don buy rubbish again. 🤣 |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 8:53pm On Jan 17 |
Trossard should have started today, that's my opinion. Martinelli is better in ucl cus teams don't usually play low blocks like epl teams in ucl and that gives him space to attack. But overall, the team performance was not good. S/o to sells abi wetin be him name, he made some good saves to deny us goals. Arteta failing to utilise man city's double drop in points is enough reason for any one to get angry. Should Aston villa win tomorrow, it will be 4 points gap. God abeg ooo. |

iamoyindamola:We know Nelli for the last 3 season, how I'm "no show" wan tey suprise us? This Fanbase sha, Imagine Sir Alex of 2008 benching Ronaldo and Rooney or Kloop of 2019 benching Mane and Salah for this kind of match with Mourinho and Apari on their heels .... |

germaphobe:Bro.. Trossard and Timber have been battling with fitness lately. Even Saliba and Gabriel were forced to play while not 100% fit. So I understand why Arteta kept rotating his wingers. But the Almighty question is what has been the impact of our wingers lately? Like, let's just compare their performance and see how they rank. Trossard would rather dance on the wing for five minutes than cross or shoot. Ok let's agree he made a mistake with the lineup. At least he brought in Trossard at half time and Saka around 56th minute which means both played roughly 40 minutes. What was their impact biko? |

MSGAMBLE9:Nobody is celebrating 1 point, maybe you are making that one up in your head Sha. You sounded as if players like Martinelli and Madueke are not good enough to start against Nottingham forest. These are the same players that have played in higher profile matches sef and tbey delivered this same season. There's no big deal the coach playing those aforementioned duo against Forrest. It's anxiety and PTSD of the seasons we didn't win the league that's making you suddenly think Forrest is a team we must start Saka and Trossard ( who came on and didn't score) against them...... Make Una calm down small. All these negativity are just not necessary. I wonder how u guys even enjoy watching matches when you already have negative mindset even before the match starts. I don't envy Una o |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by MSGAMBLE9: 9:12pm On Jan 17 |
BlueRayDick:Negative mindset? Person wey bench im starter for useless CL match is not Negative... They are only good enough to start when the best is not available, this is the same Man that would refuse to sub Saka, Kai and Rice even when we are 3-0 up... He goofed badly... None of the winners I mentioned earlier would have done so not Mou, Kloop or SAF... Me wey I don dey thank my United friends for afternoon only to see them mockingly ringing me back now... |

BlueRayDick:that's the issue the pain and trauma of previous seasons. He made the right call of removing Martinelli on time, but still kept Gyokeres in the game. Those fans that criticised Saka heavily for not passing to Gyokeres, I am waiting to hear their excuse today. He got chances, crosses was made to the box and yet........ We move on to the next. |

mostob:i love Martinelli more than almost all the other players, but bro Martinelli wasn't it today. Martinelli plays well with jesus on the pitch. I won't leave out Arteta while criticising the players today cus how we starts each match determines to a large extent how we end it. And the forest goal keeper was solid today, let's not take that away. Make I no just talk about Gyokeres today, make I just avoid to talk about am. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 9:18pm On Jan 17 |
iamoyindamola:i still believe we are winning the epl this season but the problem of not capitalising when our competitors fail is a trauma that hurts so much. |

germaphobe:Martinelli wey miss sitter... He couldn't beat Aina today as Timber was not overlapping. As for Gyokeres, he should be given time off to go and reflect. Wetin pain me pass na the number 14 shirt we give am. You no fit score? No problem but at least use your muscle to hold up play. |

iamoyindamola:The fanbase and players need this EPL badly. Everything is still in front of us but the fear of bottling no gree leave me. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Fkhalifa(m): 9:23pm On Jan 17 |
BlueRayDick:Baba there's something special in Forest on their home ground, I've seen many teams struggle there, even the commentator mentioned Arsenal has been struggling there for the past few years. City struggled for the 3 points thanks to late Cherki's beauty, Liverpool dropped 5 points from possible 6 last season they won You see those giants at the back Murillo and Milenkovic are demons defensively on that ground Selz was arguably the best keeper last year, Elliot Anderson and MGW are no babies in midfield Odoi and Jesus are always a constant threat....A team even trying to survive relegation...it was never going to be an easy 3 points and I'm never blaming Arteta cos all his best legs played but Forest was just too difficult to break down. |
