Sir Ahmadu Bello Never Visited Nzeogwu At Sandhurst by gidgiddy(op):
This is to correct the fake news going about the Internet that former Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, visited Nzeogwu on his passing out ceremony at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, England.

That never happened. They are even circulating a picture to go with their fake news. What happened was that Sir Ahmadu Bello visited a seperate Academy called Mons Military Academy, UK, to see Northerners studying there. This happened in 1962, and Nzeogwu had already left Sandhurst in 1960.

Babandiga has already pointed an accusing finger at Awolowo.

As a former president of Nigeria, Babangida obviously was privy to secret documents which helped him in that decision.

Coup led Awolowo to prison
Awolowo coopted some impressionable officers, some of whom were Igbos to execute the Jan 1966 coup.
Awolowo also planned a coup when Babangida was the president, which led him to injest rat poison.

It seems as though Awolowo's life was all about coups and killing people.
Thank God he was unable to rope in any Igbo person in his last coup, otherwise he would have used it as an excuse to starve more Igbos to death.

Ah yes, the classic entitlement mentality, an ailment so stubborn it survives even basic logic.

Ahmadu Bello was the Premier of Northern Region, not a roaming goodwill ambassador on a compulsory tour of every other region’s cadets. So pray, why must he visit Eastern cadets? And while we’re at it, did he barricade the roads and physically restrain Nnamdi Azikiwe from visiting Eastern cadets himself?

This sense of entitlement, this loud conviction that the world owes one personal attention, is deeply embedded in some people, apparently beyond the reach of reason, history, or common sense. And one is tempted to ask, with bitter irony, is this warped entitlement the same logic that later masqueraded as “justification” when Nzeogwu and his associates decided to play executioner of the late Premier?

The meat of the rumour was that the Sardauna had been piping him from when he was a minor

Sometimes it's better to just allow them to keep on sinking their own narration by themselves.

In all the Nigeria history story, only their own version is different from others

Well versed, indeed!!!

Even before the coup, these guys have never shown you any love. Abi, you 've forgotten what happened in 1945 and then again in 1953?
And then you went and unalived their "God" and as if that wasn't bad enough, you now foisted unitary govt on them where you will be the one determining their future for them!

You all are on a long thing o. Since then, they have been kpaing you guys at the drop of a koran or sighting of the moon.

The danger here is that their next generation will believe all their propaganda without questioning the logic therein and then proceed to use these lies to behave anyhow in this geographical space thereby making the same mistakes as their elders.

In the past 2 decades in Nigeria politics, which headway have they made?

Allow them to continue with their obsolete method of doing things

Actually the reverse is the case now. They are now unaliving the love of their lives at ilorin and Oyo as we are witnessing these days. They know their boundaries and where to stop. The last time they tried that rubbish with us , we returned it with full measure , so they stopped and faced the love of their lives

That is Nzeogwu .

From the body Language you can see that Sardauna and Nzeogwu were close.

Sardauna was Nzeogwu's father's friend
Sardauna used to visit the the family home of Nzeogwu

.it was Sardauna who used his influence together Nzeogwu accepted into the Army officer Corps after first being rejected because he was expelled from St John's college in Kaduna for attacking a Teacher who was also a Rev Father

Good Character was an important criteria for acceptance to the Officer corps

Nzeogwu failed on it that was why Sardauna helped him
