Senegal came out to play (offensive)
But Super Eagles Sat back (defensive)

Different approach
different result.
Not really, the key player in Morocco team being Hakimi could not move forward as he wished because Mane has finishing and pace and plays at the same wing where Hakimi is, so it would be a quick counter if hakimi goes forward to play and senegal gets the ball, they'll pass to mane thereby making it difficult for Hakimi to perform. That's why the first half, senegal had more possession and shots on target while Morocco had 0 shots. But the second changed that pattern, hakimi stayed back and allowed other players to make moves. In super Eagles case, lookman isn't as fast as mane and holds on to ball too much, so Hakimi had space to be overlapping, our coach didn't read that game properly if not, we would have won them

How can a player deliberately miss a penalty ...stop that rubbish talk he thought he would be cheeky and try a peneka to rub it in the face of senegal and he messed up.

Stop this talk of "Agreed to miss" its just nonsense !!
Oga go and watch the replay of that penalty miss. How can your goal keeper save a penalty at 90+ minutes in that situation and there's no single excitement or adrenaline rush or energy or element of surprise on the faces of the so called beneficiaries of the 'penalty miss'. The Senegalese players were extremely casual and passive after the save which means they already knew the penalty was going to be be saved and that's what CAF used to persuade them to come back to the pitch to continue playing.

It was a deliberate miss to pacify Senegal and save face. Agreement is Agreement. Enye ndi ebe a, enye ndi ebe a

That’s not possible as it’s totally against FIFA rules…

It would be match fixing and thats totally illegal…

And how can they agree within 10 minutes, a whole nation would sell the match?

The stadium was dead silent because the fans were heartbroken… do you expect them celebrating when they lost a penalty??

Listen to yourself....did they also agree to concede and lose the match?

Something similar happened to Ghana in the World Cup with Asamoah Gyan

The penalty taker is under so much pressure

For those trying to shut us up for saying the penalty miss was deliberate, it has now gone viral, some people are of the opinion he missed it on purpose, while some it's not. Either way, everybody is entitled to his or her opinion. But don't try to shove your opinion down my throat and say I don't know football cus I say the miss was deliberate.
I have seen it happen before that's why I air my opinion. Below are such incident.
There's even one that Paolo Di Canio did when he was at West Ham, he deliberately stopped a goal bound attack of his team bcus the ref unfairly gave them advantage after an opponent was foul

There was no way the Eagles of naija could have withstand the Senegalese in that final, had it been that they qualified.

The Senegalese are the overall best as far as the concluded AFCON is concerned

How does this make this narrative of a final game ?

One that Morocco has been desperate to win in front of their home fans?
The one that they players even fought to get the Referee to review VAR?

What Senegal just taught Nigeria is that even if the world is against you, you can still win and triumph if you put in your best.

They didn't sit down blaming the ref and the whole world, even when they felt cheated. They still trooped out and gave their best.

Till now Nigeria is still blaming everything that moves for their loss
I hate it with passion when people write like this..

Tear down syndrome...

Senegal prepared both off the pitch and on the pitch...

Cos they saw what they did to Nigeria....

Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), wrote protest letters to the Confederation of African Football (CAF

That protest letter was the start of a psychological warfare putting pressure on CAF, the referees etc....

Senegal were well prepared psychologically for anything the Moroccans throw at them...

SE did well with based on the circumstances on ground....no red card...kept their opponent at bay for solid 120 minutes...

And got kicked out via penalty....

That's a decent outing...

Those are Supersport commentators
The lead commentator is Belgian but based in SA
Oliseh and Amokachi are unprofessional to the point it's scary
There are professional courses and trainings you undergo before you even run commentary on a professional game
Even bigger players than them attend those courses
It could have been worse tho
Imagine Ikpeba doing commentary grin

To burst ur bubble... Nigeria penalties shootout was arranged to lose!

Allegedly.
The arrangement was...fair play till full time and extra....but if the game enters penalty, you must allow morocco to win.

Go n check the shootout again...chukwueze just came on late and fresh legs had no chance to play that penalty that way.

Trust me, if the Final match had entered penalty shootout out...Morocco would win 💯
Fixes happen.

Allegedly

Honestly, yes they fought to get the penalty. But with how Senegal protested and wanted to abandoned the match (even though it would have cost them a ban) something have to give and I believe some arrangements was made to call them back. Did you see how the officials talked to Mane and how he talked to their ex player Diouf, who in turn was making a call. And how Many ran quickly into the dressing room to call back his teammates. To me it looks as if they were told what will happen.
.
And to be honest again, If Senegal hadn't protested that decision and just accepted it immediately it was giving, Diaz or any other Moroccan player would have scored or tried to play it well and score. It's what it's sha. The conversation of whether he deliberately miss it or not will go on for a long time

I couldn't agree more
You are right absolutely esp about Hakimi vs Lookman & Mane.

Mane was more passionate and hungry, even though he was the captain.
Man was playing like those his younger years in Liverpool, fresh, no decline at all. Like when his star just started to shine (career start). Never seen anything like this before.

No bigmanism.

You guys are forgetting that Mendy was is a legendary world class keeper 😂😂

Former Chelsea FC Number 1 that won Champions league. He also caught Aguerro paneka penalty in 2021

Man won FIFA the best goal keeper that year! You guys have forgotten?

I've only seen Mendy catch two penalties and both are penaka. The first penalty was played by Aguero against Chelsea and Mendy caught the penaka. So, it's safe to say Mendy only catch penaka

Let me ask you too, is that how they play penalty. Goalkeeper hasn't even moved and you just played the ball to him. And talking about trying to chased the ball back or shooting arrow according to you, if really he deliberately or was told to do it, were you expecting him to make it show he did it on purpose.
After all we dey see person wey kill person, follow other people dey cry for the person wey him kill.
Like I said earlier, it's my opinion. And don't try to make me twist it or agree with you that
Goalkeeper hasn't moved keh ... Go and rewatch the penslty I'm slow motion again you'd see mendy even moved ahead of Diaz playing the ball and had to quickly track back due to the ball being slow .. if that penalty wasn't panenka, he's sending bmendy the opposite way .. go re watch..
