If owo mi da aka agberos still collect daily tax from motorists then the new tax law is no different from previous ones. FG and State government can not be taxing so much from Nigerians and still expect them to continue paying levies such as offloading and unloading permit, motor park levies, owo mi da, omo nilè building levies, produce to touts enabled by state and local government etc. If the Nigeria Tax Act should be meaningful then all these draconian levies and tax must be scraped . |

What is it about all this tax here and there, they swear for this country? This people really don’t understand how tax and tariff works. End users are the ones to pay for its. If you tax dangote. He will push the tax to end users. If you tax heavy on imports. Those importers will push it to the end users. If you tax banks they will simply push it to the end users. This government is hellbent on tax and punishing the masses |

Hope all states will now stop all illegal tax and levied collectors on their roads All those who collect levies from market women, Keke operators, Okada riders, trucks and all those local governments who collect money on roads across states Enough is enough It’s totally unacceptable for touts to be extorting money from road users and commuters and market women. |

Lanretoye:Did the guy mention any region there, he said FG and states meaning it is a general problem but you seem to see it as attack on your region and tribe because your brother is in power and you know your your region is the most guilty of what he said, instead of you to focus on the message he passed, you decided to attack him, if what he said is implemented, is it not beneficial to every region regardless of tribe and religion... na wa for una o... |
