Stowaway Trapped For Two Weeks On Ship From Togo To Italy: A Harrowing Escape by Glimpsetv(op): 12:40am On Jan 20

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkzUBXDxyqA?si=goKPXGTH96PAlP3K

A shocking video shows the moment a young man was discovered hiding aboard a vessel traveling from Lomé, Togo, to Italy, after his cries for help were heard from inside the ship.

The stowaway had hidden inside a tight hole near the anchor area of the vessel. In the video, his head is already out of the hole, but he appears extremely weak and unable to pull the rest of his body free. A man on board can be heard encouraging him to keep trying, saying that since his head was out, his body would eventually follow.

The young man repeatedly pleaded for help, asking for assistance to lift the heavy chain blocking the hole. He was told that the chain could only be removed if the navy was called, and that involving the navy could bring serious trouble for him. When he begged the man to hold him, the man declined, saying he could not physically support him and that he needed to try on his own.

During their conversation, the man asked how long he had been trapped in the hole. The stowaway revealed that he had been there for about two weeks. He also explained that the ship’s anchor had been lowered into the hole two to three times after he had already hidden there, making the space even tighter and trapping him inside. This suggests he entered the hole before the anchor was dropped.
Later, a rope was thrown down to him to hold onto as he attempted to pull himself out of the narrow space.

The video has generated intense reactions. Many viewers expressed pity for the young man, with some blaming African leadership, saying poor governance, unemployment, and hardship have pushed many young people into taking extremely dangerous risks in search of a better life abroad. Others, however, criticized the young man, saying the journey was reckless and could have easily ended in death.

This incident highlights the growing desperation driving irregular migration and the life-threatening risks many are willing to take in pursuit of hope.

Watch the video and share your thoughts.

Damn. I remember working in a sea chest and chain locker of ships. Claustrophobia nearly kill me and that was a stationary ship plus I can come out when I want.

Imagine this guy being there in one position for days...

No the hell we shouldn't. People choosing to waste the good sense God gave them on desperatelu ridiculous endeavors like these instead of ones to create self sufficiency in their homeland is the exact problem. If you continue seeing yourselves as victims in need of perpetual aid and to be rescued - most often from YOURSELVES (not you specifically I'm speaking in general) - nothing will ever get better. Unless you're saying your people aren't cognitively capable which we both know isn't true, one day young strong men like him will have to realize that at one point most of us had to fight for our freedom. Fleeing, begging and demanding with entitlement that the world should "come to our aid o" only further harbors codependency and self stagnation.

May God punish anyone who would go about shouting "sovereignty!" angry. In fact the white men should come and take over Africa, especially the black dominated nations, as their so called "indigenous leaders" have all failed woefully!!

So you mean, there's not a single black dominated country, from Uganda to Cameroon, Kenya, Botswana, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria; the corruption headquarters, (South Africa should thank their stars that they have Whites among them) that one can at least use in half comparison or brag with to any of these first world countries in terms of education, science, tech, military, health, welfare, to mention a few? It is unbelievable shocked!!

At least, ancient Africans were forced to work in America, Europe (transatlantic slave trade), but now, we're the ones selling everything, taking loans, lying during interviews, praying and fasting, etc just to escape to the same Europe and America? What a serious shame! Go to Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and see how blacks are struggling everyday to cross to Europe, not to talk of the countless tortures, rape (9 out of every 10 females trying to cross are being subjected to rape, sexual molestation without remorse)..

Make visas to these countries free and see how these black dominated countries will be scanty at once, including the old...

Africans, blacks we do anything to see a white man's land.

Even when thousands are in Italy with no papers no reasonable lives hoping one day they get papers.

They take all manar of risk, they take Sahara desert, Mediterranean that is 20% survival rate.

But when u call them to protest against bad leaders they chicken out.

When u call them to vote and protect theue vote they chicken out.

I know a guy that left Nigeria 10 years ago via Sahara desert and today the family are yet to hear from him

They refused to touch him because the authorities would blame whoever for aiding a crime. I’m surprised the captain or chief officer didn’t order the crew to flood the hole so he’ll drown. I hear they perform such acts in the high seas.

If extreme care is not taken, that anchor chain will grind his body against the wall of that hole when being pulled up. It's as if some people have their brains underneath their feet
