The father loves his son but knew at this point love won't save and correct the son. What is needed here is a reality check. An example to be made on such people. Give him same treatment he served his victims so that his colleagues would know the outcome and repercussions of what they'll face when caught
Did you read where he already killed his dad's sister years ago? What did his dad do?
Re: Father Of Kano Murder Suspect Demands Son’s Death by ThePlugg: 7:30am On Jan 20
You no kuku get sense.....abi you decidenot to read the last part where he led assailants to the last sets of murders......so those ones no fit go track the papa if truly he is clean?
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:
It is your type that after finding the culprit you will still be looking for innocent people to rope into the crime. Now imagine the son after hearing what his father said about him goes on to accuse the father of sending him to kill them, will you support the arrest and prosecution of the dad?

The psychopath should be immediately euthanized without further delay!

How it hot to kill people and expect cheers afterwards

funny how you all seat in a shitty hole blank broke and start having this self imagination of what need to be done and what need not to be done, go watch the video first if you don't understand Hausa as a translator digest the information then and only then should you comment nonsense
You people would always support evil.

The write up above is very clear. The father knew all along that the monster killed his own sister and waited till now to tell the authorities.

Talking about brokeness and shitty holes, I laugh cos I wander what brought this on.

I have known in my field a long time ago that peeps are usually the first to accuse others of what they themselves are and guilty of. It is called reversed psychology. So you see.

If it would make you feel any better, I am millions of miles away outside the shores of Africa and have been for decades. The joke is on you.

The man actually said he suspects he is the one that killed his sister based on this new information available now.
He said he looked into the son's eyes and he knew he was the one.
It's an allegation ..he is not saying he knows but he suspects base on conviction l.
This is a better translation if we want to be fair.

He should rather be tortured and punished until he begged to be killed.
A serial murderer deserves it.
Chain him under hot sun and pour sugar syrup all over his body except his head.

At night pour meat water and bone broth on his head.

Go through all my previous Facebook posts — we reported this matter first.
Even the suspect’s father was unaware that his own son was involved in the crime.
The major breakthrough came from a neighbor’s testimony. The neighbor stated that he heard the victim call out a familiar name — Umar — in a clear and emotional tone.
According to the witness, the woman cried out (and I quote):
“Umar, hard kai za a kashe ni da yarana”
(Umar, you are among those who want to kill me and my children.)
That statement became the crack in the investigation. During interrogations by the DSS and the Police, neighbors’ accounts led investigators directly to the suspect’s house at 12:45 a.m.
Further investigations confirmed that the crime was carried out by three accomplices, aged 22, 28, and 46.
Facts don’t lie. Truth always finds its way out

That is why developed countries are far ahead of you guys.
Police do not kill people like this.
They are kept in prison for academic purpose.

His mind should be studied for years. Tests upon tests. That is how a theory is formed. Stats are collected from cases like this and professionals study and debate upon that.
Final result is what the society see. Things like signs that you are living with a ......and how to spot one etc are products of not killing him immediately even though he deserves it.
He isa walking experiment. Developed countries are not emotional. You make the society better by getting to know what made him do that and warn the society about people like him. Or get people that have such mindset early and make them u dergo therapy.
Also, after using him for such experiment, his various organs should be sent to those in the hospitals who need them. That way, the society still gained from him instead of kidnapping innocent people for organ harvesting.

This is one of worst cases of serial killings i have ever heard
Re: Father Of Kano Murder Suspect Demands Son’s Death by Kalulu44: 8:35am On Jan 20
Normally in the Bible it says an eye for eye.
But I like American way of giving life imprisonment for even someone who murder 20 people. Killing him outrightly will just make him go and rest wherever in afterlife.
.
Giving him life sentence, but inside a solitary confinement or a dungeon where he won't see anyone or sunlight with hard labor, he will be begging for death but it won't come. That to me I think will be better.
Chai.... See the fine family this devil just destroy. RIP to them.

Na wa for you people oo!
Who told you the father is aware that the boy has gone wayward?
He said it himself by alleging that he killed his sister years ago and plucked out her eyes. It was at that point that he should have been taken permanently to a mental institution if he didn't want to involve the authorities.

It is obvious that the son is mentally sick.
It might be that he had a "vendetta" against his people (usually as a result of advices or rebukes that didn't sit well with him) and got his equally gullible and bloodthirsty friends alongside to help him wipe out the family.

Wonder what took his father this long to tell the world the atrocities perpetrated by his son? Is it fear of his son or tacsit support for his atrocities that made him not to report his son all these while to the authorities?
At least for now, we should commend the father for distancing himself from the son’s atrocities.

You now made it clear to me. My bad and I apologize to you.

The details were sketchy and I based my judgement of the father based on what was reported even though the world holds him responsible for having failed in raising a better man.

As far as Nairaland is concerned, we are one family.

That is why I took it upon myself to submit a hard-copy petition to the DSS against my own brother (a Northerner) who has been openly calling for an Arewa Republic, the disintegration of Nigeria, and the annihilation of Igbo and Yoruba people, using hateful and abusive language.

It broke my heart. When I advised him to delete those posts, instead of listening, I was attacked relentlessly in the comment section.

Let me be clear: I do not support terrorists or terrorist sympathizers. I don’t care who you are or where you come from. I personally delivered the petition to the DSS Director, and I am confident that justice will be served in due time.

Nigeria must stand. Hate will not win.

You are welcome bro.
We all want a Nigeria devoid of tribalism and corruption.
A Nigeria were justice is supreme irrespective of tribe and religion.

A Nigeria were there is freedom of religion and peaceful coexistence of all tribes and religion.
A Nigeria with a sound and robust economy ,with zero or little unemployment.
This is the base or foundation were a true Nigeria would stand unshaken and flourishing.

A Nigeria we all can be proud of.

Welcome bro

There are some bad dreams that one will have, waking up from sleep to realized it was just a dream, it makes one very happy.

I wish I was just dreaming about this killing.

What did the father do when he killed his sister? Was he reported? If not, the father should also be arraigned for seeing something and saying nothing.
Well, I will excuse you that you probably didn't read the first news about his arrest. It was a was after the arrest that they confessed to earlier murders.
But my question is, why did this guy going after his own family and in laws?
