My own is........

I hope he is not somewhere else posing as a living being.

All those gory ghost stories we hear about. This is how they start.

I don't know why, this story is kinda difficult for me to believe.

How would someone stay without having siblings, friends, relatives, neighbours etc that would check up on him once in a while? undecided undecided

It actually happened, I was in that neighborhood at the time the incident was discovered.

Make people dey try withdraw all their money from bank na especially if they know they're suffering from any particular ailments around the age of 60 or so..

All this banks should have a wey family members can have access to their bank acct after death..
They are the most fraudulent professionals around. There were instances when I my data purchase attempt failed and yet debited without a reversal. They know it might be inconvenient for you to leave your job and go to lodge complaint with them. I am sure such funds are eventually rerouted to their personal accounts. Why can't they do the reversal without you going to the bank? Very fraudulent institution.

There are people like that. I once lived alone for 7 years, in a state far away from my family. No visits, the closest friend stayed in another city 1 hour drive away.

I enjoyed every bit of my peaceful stay there.

The compound was full of self contained apartment and everyone minds their own business.

Staying alone gave me clarity, direction and focus..and I miss it sometimes.

This guy's children and relatives should all be ashamed of themselves.
This story also shows that there are some people that will die and no one will even ask after them.
It is likely they may not know he had a house somewhere for them to be able to trace him down or the man is the type who never keeps in touch with anyone.
Re: He Died In His Room, Rot, Turned To Skeleton And Nobody Noticed For 4 Years by HITsquad: 7:38pm On Jan 20
Doesn't really matter. When you are dead it's all over. It doesn't matter if your body gets eaten by pigs, burnt, buried or not buried.
It wouldn't matter to you anymore.
It wouldn't matter if you were married or single, had kids or didn't have kids.
Nothing would matter anymore. Everything just goes blank.

More reason we all should start living life.

Why should his children be blamed if the man didn't bother building an emotional connection with him? Same with his family? Family no be for free abeg... People need to learn that they can only get back from it(or at least demand) ... From family....only that which they willingly invest into it. 🥱🥱

Oga if my family members don't hear from me for a period of time they'll come looking for me at my house, it's not as if he's a foreigner whose friends and family are far away in another country.

Another thing baffling me is that nobody in the neighborhood bothered to check on him, it's kinda strange in a country like Nigeria. I only hear of these things abroad. Nigerians don't mind their business to that extent, curiosity would make one or two persons discuss the issue and youths would mobilize there. The only time I have heard of an abandoned house like this in Nigeria which people avoided was that ritualist in the east. Can't remember his name, Eze-ego or something like that.

I don't know the location of the house, the only thing that can convince me it truly happened is if the house is located in an island.

People that live alone should download "Are you dead App" . The app works such that if you don't tap on it's red button in a day, it will send notice to your registered loved ones to check on you.

No to say the fact the reversal should be automatic and it do work ..

Maybe yours was just malfunctioning from the server or something went wrong ..

But normally the reversal is automatic and u won't be charged for that

does it matter if half of the world gathers around one. Once your time is up, you move. Nothing else matters to the person what comes after that

I spoke with my family members every week but I lived alone..

Some people do well staying on their own. Others can't thrive in such mileu.
