Pass Out Parade Of The NDA Course 4 Regular Cadets In 1971( Picture ) by Racoon(op): 6:07pm On Jan 20

A passing-out parade photo of the 4th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, taken 58 years ago.

In front of the standing cadets is one of the indigenous commandants of the NDA in the early post independence Nigeria, Major General David Ejoor (Rtd), along with other principal officers of the Academy.

The Regular Course 4 graduated in 1971. Cadet officer Ogbomo won all prizes in academics and military, including the sword of honour, gold and silver wares five in all.

That record has not been broken to this day. Officer Cadet Ogboma; standing middle row first from left.

-Lt Col. Chris Oche.
-Colonel Joshua Madaki.
-Colonel Sasaniya Oresanya( former governor of Oyo State during the IBB/Abacha military era ).
-Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi (Former Chief of Defence Staff).

-Brigadier General Raji Alegbe Rasaki.
-Major General Abdulkareem Adisa.
-Major General Timothy Shelpidi.
-Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju.

Most of them ended up becoming Military Governors, Ministers & Senators etc. How time indeed flies.

The point is, we could have been earning ten time what we are earning if we were using our resources to make goods the world needs.

The trillions and billions? Some of it went to corruption, but most of it went to projects and importation. And it is not enough .

Note that I didn't deny corruption exists . But the corruption itself is a product of the kind of economy we run. Selling and sharing money is going to promote stealing . Producing for our life won't.

Nzeogwu coup wasn't successful. Neither was dimka and both of them were UK trained

David Mark and Tunde Ogheha are course 3 and not course 4. Check online

General David Ejoor the former Governor of the old Midwest region is the only person I can recognize there.
He died about 6 years ago.
Some of them made up Gallant and notable Generals, unlike the business men Generals we do have now carrying pot belly allover Abuja.
Rest in Peace 🕯️ to those who have died.

The one who won all the awards in academic and Military, where is/was he? What ranks and positions did he attain, I want to check something.

1971? Was it shortly before Ejoor became Chief of Army staff?
3.) all those foreign People there, I'm guessing staff, what are they there for? Working under the indigenous commandant?

How comes Ogbomo who won all the prizes many of us never heard his name,what rank did he retired,was he relegated to the background?
I observed most of them did not meet the height requirements.
