This is the real digital minister, a 21st mindset for transformation. To hell with those sluggish, money-mongering IOs. Next time such occurs again, Hon. Minister, please fire them

Nice one, if you have any family members working in the civil service of any parastatals in Nigeria and they are making things difficult for us Nigerians, it will not be well with them.

His ascent tells you a lot about him. He has not been conditioned by Nigerian corrupt institutions where they see abnormal things as normal.

It is this type of people that will change the country. It will be hard to find anybody that went all his school in Nigeria, worked all his life in Nigeria, lived most of his life in Nigeria that is any good. The institutions and systems there turn them into animals with zero human compassion and zero moral sense of fairness.

I can hardly tolerate this brand of political theatre, where office holders suddenly “discover” the very failures they were hired to fix.

Watching the minister stroll into a passport office and perform public shock over passport delays is almost farcical. Are we really to believe this rot just appeared overnight, or that it somehow thrived for years without his awareness?

Berating subordinates before cameras does not equal leadership. One cannot help but suspect this sudden burst of seriousness only came after he sensed the mess was about to be publicly exposed. Governance is not street theatre, Nigerians need action, not acting.
Haba

You no get conscience?

100k
&
200k

And these officers are still behaving like winch

Still collecting extra charges on top the 100k & 200k? And delaying the process! These guys are extra wickedness

This is what happens when you give the Job to the right persons. Well done minister, If I may advise, the job of passport should be given to a different dept under ministry of internal affairs not immigration.

Ah, “What are you saying in essence?” classic! I’m beginning to suspect that English comprehension is some sort of mystical art you’ve yet to discover. Everything was spelled out in plain, everyday English, yet here you are, staring at words like they’re hieroglyphics and asking the profound question of the century. Truly, a talent… just not the useful kind.
What he is asking you is what do you suggest the minister should do? Have you been following what the minister have been doing in the past to handle and resolved the rot in the system?
It is easy to criticize without offering any suggestion for solution. If you feel the minister is not doing the right thing, what is your suggestion to remove the rot in the system?

God will continue to expose them like this.
I wish the minister would make an unscheduled visit to Lagos - Festac, Alausa and Ikoyi too

Mr eye service, why can't he do the right thing instead of this show off.
It’s for awareness purposes for the immigration service to be serious in their job or get caught unaware, there’s nothing like eye service and show off here?

Re: Interior Minister Visits Passport Office Unannounced, Berates Delays by obamiyi(m): 5:58pm On Jan 20
An unannounced visit is a standard leadership practice meant to assess real-time service delivery. The Interior Minister’s engagement highlights a shared commitment to improving efficiency and addressing genuine concerns faced by passport applicants.

If you have been following the activities of the Minister of Interior, you won’t be making this baseless claims.

He has been doing these visits to the various agencies under his ministry. We are proud of him and wish other Ministers emulate him

I went to the NIS office in Yenagoa for capturing. This man was boldly telling me to pay an extra 25K for logistics, that the 104k I paid online is for Abuja.

I recorded part of the conversation both in audio and video, I didn't start early cos I didn't expect it.

As it is, with his threat, I fear that my passport might be intentionally delayed and not processed early.

Post it online and tag the Minister , NIS hq and state command alongside your proof. I guarantee you that your passport would be ready within 48hours

God bless you Minister - Tunji- Ojo👍.
This is how to Check Your Dept Efficiency,if it's really working, but rare in Nigeria because many CEO,Bosses,Heads of Depts, Agencies - have been Compromised.
•For example:
- in the days of Bola Ige- as Minister of Power,we saw Many Transformers have becomes obsolete In their Stores and no wander - even when this All Important Sector was Sold by GEJ to Party Members - it never gave light 🚨 till today.
- Many times Raji Fashola - as a Governor in Lagos, unexpectedly the Officers began to be be mindful of themselves.
Re: Interior Minister Visits Passport Office Unannounced, Berates Delays by LongT(m): 6:40pm On Jan 20
This unannounced visit needs to be replicated in other ministries like the customs and other revenue generating agencies. Immigration officials are now showing lack of seriousness in their duties because it is no longer paying them as before. Online registration and bank payment have reduced fraud. Now na salary!

Civil servants are one of the major problems in Nigeria.
I laughed when the man couldn’t find excuse why the woman was kept waiting for hours. He only came up with Network challengegrin
When Minister said he’d go see the place, he said his office is having same issue.

Passport capturing shouldn’t take more than 15minutes . People make application online, so the applicant’s information is already with them

I’d do this unannounced visit, without sirens 🚨, if I’m a Governor

Sometimes people in top positions want things to work, but the clerks, secretaries and other lower level staff will be frustrating their efforts

Those thieves you have there as your workers. 😂 😂 You coming there today might make a change for just today but after you're gone they will start their stealing again. Imagine requesting 140,000 for renewal of 32 page passport. Not express for that matter.
