Just wondering whether one needs to study Business Administration in the University to be successful in business in Nigeria.

in my time you will be lucky to see 100 students graduating with a first class from Unilag in any year.

secondly it is almost unheard of for a student to get a perfect 5.0 GPA in a humanities degree......again certainly not in my time.

this has nothing to do with the south west the truth is when it comes to education the igbos 4rm tym memorial has always been leading, the civil war only derialed the igbos abit in education and some other sector but i can tell you that in the next 2 decade to come even the oil and gas sector will be dominated by the igbos. the igbos are unifying already and that alone will accelerate our dominance in the sectors we are failing. and i remain a proud igbo man 4rm delta state

business administration is a course science student can study in a single semester, give the award to that lady who scored 4.91 in architecture

I was even trying to picture the 69 students and wondering if they will invite people before I saw this one.

These are mostly from health related courses like medicine, dentistry etc where there is no CGPA grading system.

While I heartily congratulate all the convocating students, most especially the best of the best among them, I really would like some to explain the difference between first class honours and distinction in Bachelor Degree certification.

I ask because I'm confused in the below:
The number is made up of 617 first-class honours and 92 distinctions, all in the Bachelor’s Degree category, and 502 distinctions in the Postgraduate category.

Ten years ago, Ayodele Dada emerged the first graduate with a perfect CGPA in Psychology. Ten years on, Benedict Chukwuzubelu has repeated the feat in Business Administration. So far, UNILAG has six graduates with a perfect CGPA across social sciences, humanities, engineering and life sciences. Truly, this is the best university in the country.

The majority of perfect CGPA holders in Nigeria are Yorubas. The universities, both private and public, where these graduates studied are all in the Southwest. The best universities in Nigeria, both private and public, are in the Southwest.

LASU, UNILAG and Covenant universities have had perfect CGPA graduates. When will a university in the whole of Eastern Nigeria (as defined by the British) have a perfect CGPA graduate? Huh?
