Talk is cheap. Unless you have actually experienced such racist attacks, & ignored it, you may think it's a simple thing to ignore & move on.

Not only that, they are rivals Militarily, Economically. Algerian is Morroco number one enemy when Morroco want to annex the Saharawi Arab Republic and they have those guys Militarily support and they have been able to hold their own against a stronger Army and an economic power house in Morroco.

If you have followed Football a bit, during Maroc '88 which was hosted in Morroco, both Nation met in the 3rd place Match after Cameroon defeated the host Morroco in the Semi final and Nigeria sent out Algeria. It would have been an epic Maghreb Derby had they met in the Finals but during the 3rd place Match, Match ended in a draw after extra time and the Morrocan players were all afraid to take penalties during shoot outs. Lol

It was the the Algerian Goalkeeper Nasr Drid that was going to the halfway line to go drag the Morrocan players to come and play penalties. They were scared of the repercussions of losing a Match to Algeria.

It is not about being Muslim really when it comes to sports or Football Match (though the emotions in Foitball is usually high and crazy)

Have youvever heard about the phrase "Any one but England"? The Scots have never supported England in a Football Match against anyone, same with the Irish yet they ate on the same patch of that island in Europe.

Argentina never wished Brazil well and Brazilians also wished defeats on them.

During the Atlanta Football events, the Argentine were happy that we took Brazil out in the Semi finals and they boasted that it will never happen to them.

In the Finals, the whole of Brazil supported Nigeria despite the fact that they are from the same Continent and shared the same faith (at least)

To let you know, Egypt, Tunisia also supported Senegal in the Finals!
