DomPerignon:Beting on rigging believing obi is going back to labour party has failed. The SW president and his corrupt judiciary think they are wise. The SE and igbos all over nigeria are in coalition with north to remove yoruba president which he has shown since 2023. How can obi even leave a coalition which he was part of the people who formed it. You guys are not really smart. Obi left labour immediately after the election after seeing all Tinubu moles in it during 2023 election. |

You have to wonder why rulings on the leadership of PDP and LP that were once dragging in court are all of a sudden hurriedly being decided within the space of a week! All this It then begs the question…is Wike now partyless!? ![]() |

As it should have been if we really hard a thoroughly independent judicary! Why would a court be giving a judgement over a matter that has been sealed by the supreme court? That's nigeria for you! |
| Re: Labour Party: Court orders INEC to recognise Usman-led EXCO, sacks Julius Abure by Dalohad: 5:34pm On Jan 21 |
All these Judges just dey collect money they do give judgements as them like. A lawyer told me that in Nigeria, a judge can secretly ask a litigant in a case to go bring his brief to him for advise and review on how it can be re-written, so that can be give a favourable judgement. Of course not for free.. |

Cherrybae:It's called leverage! Is it a bad thing to have a backup plan?😏 Atleast Atiku will forced or put under pressure either give Obi the ticket in order to maintain the relevance of ADC or watch Obi go back to LP! |
| Re: Labour Party: Court orders INEC to recognise Usman-led EXCO, sacks Julius Abure by bentenny(m): 5:46pm On Jan 21 |
DeltaBachelor:Actually, the LP can still be used as leverage for a comeback by Obi Incase Atiku decides to play a fast one on him! Atiku knows the relevance of ADC is tied to Obi and the success of ADC in the forthcoming presidential election will depend on who gets the ticket! |
| Re: Labour Party: Court orders INEC to recognise Usman-led EXCO, sacks Julius Abure by bentenny(m): 5:47pm On Jan 21 |
Racoon:Yeah but this is also leverage on Obi's part in case Atiku decides to play a fast one! |

Yelight:If he ever attempts to approach the supreme court, after giving a judgement against him,he will be arrested from the supreme court and thrown into jail for making a mockery of an already disgraced judicary! |

| Re: Labour Party: Court orders INEC to recognise Usman-led EXCO, sacks Julius Abure by Penguin2: 6:28pm On Jan 21 |
fergie001:My own is that whatever or whoever their target is, I’m good and Obidients are good. If the Labour Party structure is eventually handed to Usman, we have two possible outcomes. The first is that should Obi lose the ADC ticket, he can easily fall back to LP and grab its ticket and contest the election (to waste votes [I know]). Second, if Obi gets the ADC ticket with Usman in charge of LP, that means the LP structure will easily be deployed for Obi as well. So, head or tail, we are good. Game on! |

Penguin2:Lol. Go read the electoral act carefully again. You cannot contest a party primaries twice in two separate parties. If you have Obi's number, better call him now to decamp back to the LP. The ADC will select its presidential candidate through a transparent party primary and no one will step aside for anyone except by their own will. Anyone unwilling to put in work and build the party is at liberty to leave while there is still time. There will be no free ticket handed to anyone and Obi was not cajoled to join the ADC. He came in of his own freewill and he's been part of the idea from scratch. |

Why did they delay judgement all these while? |

yarimo:O boy calm down make you no kpai yourself ontop Nigerian politicians matter. The druggie that you're doing all this data work for doesn't know you. Back to topic: It is very shameful that the judiciary will allow itself to be tossed around and used like a toil@t paper by politicians. The judge now deems it fit to preside and decide on the matter that ought to be thrown out since just because Obi has left the party. That's how they'll push him around until they push him to sit on that presidential seat. Nigerians are watching and they're even sympathising with Peter Obi the more. He has gathered more followers and have shown his presence to almost every Nigerian, especially those that don't know him before. |

Penguin2:I fully support obi and from SE.If obi lose the primaries. He is not going anywhere. He must not be the president as it is never his birth right. If he leaves the coalition then he won't get my vote because I don't have time to waste on go to court. If he lose the primaries. He should not bother again. The next election is btw Tinubu and the coalition whr ww can defend our votes...simple Let tell ourselves the truth. If we have another 3 men game in 2027,it will be easy for SW president to rig and win |

bentenny:I believe abure will appeal this judgement because it contradicts what the supreme court ruled. Remember that the Nigerian Supreme Court ruled that courts lack jurisdiction to interfere in the internal leadership matters of political parties like the Labour Party (LP), so according to the supreme court judgement no lower court has the right to determine the Internal leadership of any political party. The Supreme Court's stance emphasizes party supremacy, meaning only the party's own rules should govern leadership selection. Remember that inec recognition of abure as the chairman of the party was also has a result of a court order which the supreme court said was wrong So Abure has the right to appeal the federal high Court judgement because no court can sack or replace a party leadership |
