Same reason why we operate here in Nigeria The Land Use Act 1978.
Yeah but it is still not that effective. Like I said earlier our major issues are weak institutions, inconsistency in our policies and the worst of all corruption. All in all these doesn't make real estate a bad investment, that's my stance.

Ok, same here I inherited so much real property (developed & not developed), it will take me years to sell them off completely.

I see no reason to hold on to them.

Every investment have it's cons and pros. Yes you can lose your lands during wars, or if the government has interest in the land. But that doesn't make real estate necessarily a bad investment. A land I bought for #1.2M in 2017, is currently being priced for ₦8M but I won't sell.

Not even close based on CPI and even inflation 1.2M in 2017 should be around ₦4 - 5M at most.
