The reason nobody raised ethnic sentiments over Sujimoto is simple: no one accused an entire tribe of fraud based on the actions of Olasijibomi Ogundele.

That is why there was no ethnic outrage.

There was absolutely no reason for Reno to inject ethnic sentiments into public consciousness where there was none. Doing so only revealed his true intention – to distract Nigerians from the real issues that deserve serious attention.

Just this past Sunday, over 150 christians were kidnapped from 3 churches in Kaduna state.

The only thing Reno should be focused on right now is how to help President Tinubu with efforts to rescue the kidnapped victims, and find lasting solutions to Nigeria’s out-of-control insecurity and the ongoing killings of Christians in the North – not manufacturing tribal debates to divert public attention.

Nigerians don't need these distractions.

What Nigerians need is security, accountability, and leadership – not recycled ethnic dog whistles that have become the hallmark of supporters of this government.

An ambassador designate who is not concerned about 200 abducted Christians in Kaduna, but only focuses on stroking ethnic faultless does not deserve such position. It only in a country like Nigeria that political jobbers and ethnic jingoists are accorded such respect. Little reason we are termed "A country of particular concern".

Reno is doing the job of he who paid him. Tinubu himself is a tribalist and a great pretender at nationalism.

I don't give a damn if Reno or any of tinubu minions decide to throw tribalist distractions into the polity as opposed to things that truly matter.

We sane Nigerians are laser focused on the real issues.

Btw, the only people Reno seek to keep in perpetual antiquity with his tribalist discourses are only Ronuists. So, what gives?

It was a business deal gone wrong and sujimoto admitted to it and explained his reasons why. There was not argument or debate on the issue to call it foul play.

However historical there have been ethnic persecution and bias against igbos and everybody knows this but I do agree not every issue against igbos has ethnic reasons.

This rejoinder completely misses the point.
No one raised ethnic sentiments, because the people of Sujimoto do not view issues through the narrow lens of ethnic differences.

Regarding the claim about the kidnapping of 150 people, do you genuinely believe that such an incident could occur and be concealed? Wouldn’t the families of those 150 individuals have raised public outrage?
