South South — 97.3%
South West — 96.6%

North West — 70.5%
North Central — 68.9%
North East — 57.3%

School attendance among children ages 5 to 14 was consistently high across the southern zones, but significantly lower in the northern regions, with the North East reporting the weakest rates.

That said, it must be pointed out that the South East region of the country that has been margunalised, ostracised and discriminated in the civil service, the army, the police, the banking sector, the oil sector, the telecommunications sector , etc, is still the only region that sacrifices everything for education.

You see thousands of graduates struggling without jobs in the Eastern part of the country, as federal government investments, projects and largesse are concentrated elsewhere. This should have been enough to demoralise the people, but alas, they're trouncing the favored ones in all fields apart from rampant kleptomania..

That’s because in Nigeria the part not interested in education and sending their kids to school has cornered power and control at the centre and is ruling over the part that’s interested in education and sending their kids to school! How is the South-East discriminated in the federal civil service?

It's a big shame on SE that 2.3% of our children aged 5-14 don't attend school. We need to do more and make it 0% out of school children by 2030.

Igbos will applaud this as being accurate now, but let South West be No 1. on the list, like that of internally generated revenue data, they will dispute it and call it agbadorians or gbegiri data.

Exactly true! Nigeria is far better than most African countries. Many of those complaining don’t travel. Travelling is education on its own.

Just this morning, employment rates in Africa was published here. They all rejected the good figures from Nigeria. Because it won’t serve Obi and Atiku election next year.

The figures for the North are even impressive . I thought they are way lower than that . We just need better leadership in Nigeria.

I don't understand. You are giving percentage without figure. This is very wrong and misleading eg a region with 85% of 10m has done more than 90% of 2m.

Despite being educated, they keep electing lunatics as leaders.
