There was a match we played against senegal in the nation's cup where we were losing and no goal entered untill during an injury on the keeper, a Nigerian official sneaked into the field and removed a charm on the post. After the first aid, na so Aghahowa score. Nigeria won the match.
It came on complete sports that week. No social media then.

True or not, I recall Chief Kashimowo Laluko saying he had to remove juju from the Senegalese goal post before Agbhahowa could net the brace that took us to the Semi Finals when Nigeria and Ghana co-hosted the AFCONs in year 2000. Before then, the Eagles were trailing by a goal and kept missing clear chances. Chief Laluko was even fined afterwards.

I witness the 2000 own live at the stadium, but to me all those things are mere coincidence. If those things were real and working, they would have won more than two Afcon and also have won the world cup
