No peace for anything enemies of Nigeria..

They’ll never have any reason to be happy..
Is that why Tinubu and other leaders looters in Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC are never happy despite all the trillions of taxes, subsidy savings, loans etc stolen from us huh

What greater enemy of Nigeria is there, apart from the clueless rogues who packaged Buhari as their messiah, four years after they said he was expired? What greater enemy of our country do you know?

Tinubu rules out alliance with CPC

Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”

Tinubu told ACN supporters in Kano during the party’s Presidential rally that: “What Nigerians need now is a transformation in leadership” as obtained in the advanced economy.

The two-term Governor of Lagos State explained that the leadership of ACN was offering Nigeria the brilliance of Nuhu Ribadu who, he said, is in the class of Nicolas Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain, Medvedev of Russia and Barack Obama of the United States of America.

“What has CPC got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.”

Tinubu’s position came on the heels of Ribadu’s declaration penultimate week in Kaduna when he hinted during a political rally of a joint ticket between the two opposition parties to confront the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The national leader of ACN criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for shying away from the national debate held last Friday, stressing that”that singular act exposed Jonathan as a coward who has nothing to offer.”

Bro! we should be rational, logical and objective in our submission. No place on earth have the same prices of goods the same way from 2015-2026 absolutely not even one single place in the world especially when it comes to essential goods as a result of some many natural and economic factors even yourself you are not the same as 2015-2026 so it is pointless to make that comparison. Equally, a good comparative analysis make use of such years eg 5 years, 10 years 15 years 20 years... For easy understanding and comprehension. Additionally , it is imperative to the blind that food prices has drastically dropped to a significant all time level in five years. For goodness sake a measure of beans was sold for 3K and above as of 2024 now that same measure is sold for 5-700 naira apparently this signifies that you could get 4-6 measures for this same amount almost same to maize and that of rice has a positive change so then it means staple food has significantly changed and the trajectory is also taking that same shape with pasta and noodles. So we should be appreciative. Finally what pains me the most now is that some bitter and enemies of humanities are arguing that yes that is positive and significant fall in food prices but fertilizer is too expensive I want to ask when these food were expensive was fertilizer cheap? Absolutely no! were these people protesting on how food prices sour and expensive absolutely yes! The simple reason they are equally agitating for cheapness of food today in reference to unaffordability of fertilizer is because they are bitter and frustrated people who don't want anything good to happen to a common man in the street of Nigeria because of political and sentimental reasons.

How import waivers are crippling local rice mills

Rice millers have raised concerns over the federal government’s import duty waiver on rice, maize and sorghum, saying it is hurting their businesses.

This is just as the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) said the waiver has caused food prices to drop.

Dogalmighty17:
No policy of the APC caused the current downward trend in food prices. I'll explain why in a moment.
1. Fresh off the 2023 elections, there was excess liquidity in the system. This put money in the hands of people who had no original ideas for investment. Storage and hoarding appeared to be a safe investment with guaranteed returns and a great number of Nigerians with excess disposable income, ventured into it. However, the economic policies Tinubu adopted, massively reduced the purchasing power of Nigerians such that demand for goods and services became stunted.

Storage is a circle. The stored produce have to be offloaded at some point. With demand being lethargic and a glut of supply encroaching, most people engaged in storage business started panicking and sold off since they weren't sure how further prices will fall. This is the principal reason why the prices of commodities dropped.

2. It is worth harping again that anything that affects demand, leads to price drops. This is basic economics. Supply will always be a step ahead of demand when demand can't be backed up by purchasing power. More goods, less demands, equals price drops.

The key reason why prices are dropping is because Nigerians are poorer than ever. I challenge anyone with a contrary opinion to name one government policy that is responsible for the current and TEMPORARY price drop.
Absolute garbage.

Is food price coming down same thing with food price being cheap? I use to buy loaf of bread last year at a retail store #1200, but it's #1100 now. Does it mean the bread is now too cheap according to Oshiomole because it has been reduced by #100

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has said recent economic reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu are yielding positive results, arguing that food prices across the country are beginning to decline.

Oshiomhole made the assertion while responding to questions about what the President would present as key achievements ahead of a possible re-election bid. According to him, the impact of the reforms is already evident in the food market, where prices are reportedly easing after months of sharp increases.

“There are Nigerians now who are saying food is becoming too cheap,” Oshiomhole stated, noting that the development itself has generated fresh political arguments.

He added that some opposition figures have accused the federal government of deliberately manipulating food prices to force them down, a claim he described as proof that the reforms are working. “I even heard some opposition members saying the President is manipulating food prices to crash. So they are angry that the food prices are down,” he said.

The former Edo State governor maintained that the Tinubu administration’s policies, though initially difficult, were designed to stabilise the economy and improve living conditions for Nigerians in the long term.

Oshiomhole’s comments have sparked renewed debate, with supporters of the government citing improved market trends as evidence of progress, while critics argue that food affordability remains a challenge for many households.

Actually our leaders are the problem no doubt as a result of high corruption, poor economy decision as well political and policy instability very painful that we are witnessing this devastating situation as a result of political ineptness that bore dependency while President Tinubu was part of the problem he is now making sincere and miraculous steps in correcting those mistakes and I pray God bless him for that.
