This remains a major issue in many marriages. Men trivialise the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual labour women bring in. Some while contributing financially. If these kids were with the woman, they will still mock her for being a single mother and say she cannot raise quality kids. But single fathers do not actively raise the kids. They still depend on the female community (mother, sister, another wife) around them to do the raising.

The difference is, women do not mock single fathers or stigmatise the kids raised by a single father of any form.

You know our Nigerian society remains anti-women. One of our family helper’s wife just left him to raise 5 children by himself. The wife decided she was done with the marriage and preferred “women companionship”! The man is doing a wonderful job. With more men becoming single parents, they will learn to be respectful. Give them time.

I got banned because I posted my “torrro” pic to annoy Tpia. Just to prove I was female.

Our father of 5 is not having it easy o. Grey hair has covered his whole body. He might start selling “ body parts” to raise money soon. His first child is only 13!

My dad was also a single parent. But my mom supported all the way. We lacked nothing. My dad suffered gaaaaaan. Finally died at 66. The stress kills men faster.

Ahh, it almost sounded like he was having it easy. Which one come be grey hair for body again? Single parenting is not easy. Even when you have money to buy a lot of support, it still gets hard. If you have an asset liquidate it find one beautiful house girl when set well well probably from middle belt put for house. The last thing you need is to spend your time monitoring the life of someone who left you. Even if she wan go Libya, e no suppose concern you as you have there 4 people there who need your attention. Please stop getting yourself distracted with the mundane and focus your energy on what matters which is you raising your children even better than their mother would have been able to has she remained with you. 🥱🥱

There's this thing I heard that women in the 40s, 50s and 60s are doing: on a travel visa, they go to another country and do 5 months of domestic work, then come back, rest for 1 or 2 months and go back.

Surprisingly the women doing this are what I would call Middle Class. And it's hard work on them.

But at least those are Western countries, with systems in place to protect them.
