DSS wanted to prove that Tinubu isn't corrupt. So they presented a video of Tinubu saying "No more corruption" as the evidence. How low can we go in this country? ![]() |

raumdeuter:Any thoughts? I think Asiwaju's position on Rivers State is getting clearer. https://www.nairaland.com/8604448/fubara-leader-apc-rivers-thats |

Roland17:Raumdeuter, just like all of us, will always shy from the truth, because of the party we like, and that's okay. I told him that day that APC cannot discard Fubara. It's impossible. The only way APC will discard Fubara, is if Wike decamps tonight. Infact, that's the only card left for him right now. APC will not support a PDP man to put a PDP man, when they can just win with incumbency. And if Wike decamps to APC this night, the whole ADC will decamp to PDP immediately. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 9:56pm On Jan 22 |
Roland17:That is an official response, the reality on ground is different Do you think Ambode and SanwoOlu were the number 1 in Lagos APC? It is whoever has proven he can deliver on ground that is number 1 |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:01pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:That is Bwala speaking and giving official responses. This is not the first time a party at the center is aligning away from the party in the state and giving powers to someone else. APC National is more likely to work with APGA Soludo than with APC Anambra, Same thing PDP National did with Obi in APGA This is what the chairman of APC said 2 weeks ago National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, says the ruling party is not under the control of any governor. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Roland17(m): 10:09pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:This reads more than just an official response, particularly these excerpts.. “If they are given the resources that he has and unfettered access, they will do more.” “he will give you latitude, he will give you privilege but not at the expense of the right thing to do and when you cross that line nobody will tell you, you will know.” Ambode, SanwoOlu and Asiwaju are all in the same party. It is the highest assurance of party interest. Wike is playing both sides and I doubt the presidency has the highest assurances, especially with Fubara now in APC. There is a lot of calculation going on now between APC/ Rivers/ ADC. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Roland17(m): 10:14pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:I agree. Wike decamping will only strengthen PDP, particularly its Northern base. It may be the rallying point they have been waiting for. ADC may not decamp into PDP but there would most definitely be an alliance/ alignment between both. This is the most clarity we have seen from the Presidency on Rivers State. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:15pm On Jan 22 |
Roland17:Do you think Wike does not have Tinubu's blessings to play both sides, or who has been the biggest beneficiary of his both sides play? I will likely think he is still in PDP based on Tinubu's advice and to serve Tinubu's interest If Wike is not serving Tinubu's interest, he would have been let go from the cabinet since not many non APC members are in his cabinet anyway |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:18pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:You are comparing Apples and Oranges APC National will work with APGA because APC in Anambra is not in power. If Soludo decamps to APC, why should APC National work with APGA again? So Tony Okocha them that have been hungry for power since Heaven knows when, will be supporting PDP, when the present Governor is APC? Think am nau. If Wike wants to remove Fubara tomorrow morning, he should decamp tonight, and I am very sure that Tinubu will back him. Even the APC Rivers will leave Fubara immediately and back him. But you cannot be in PDP and dictate what happens somewhere else. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:21pm On Jan 22 |
Roland17: izzou:Wike aligned with APC first before Fubara, why do you think Wike has not formally decamped to APC? Th answer is the bold which both of you posted above and who do you think that staying in PDP benefits if not Tinubu? So think about it, Wike is doing that type of heavy work for Tinubu basically occupying the biggest party that can challenge Tinubu and you think its that type of man Tinubu will turn his back against when going into an important election? What can Fubara offer Tinubu that is as important as destabilizing the main opposition party ? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:21pm On Jan 22 |
Roland17:I didn't even need to hear Tinubu speak, before I knew that no right thinking politician, will discard Fubara, for another person in another party. Doesn't make sense Tinubu should remove Fubara, so Wike will win Rivers with PDP. So, what exactly will be APC's gain there? If Wike wants to rig Rivers for BAT in 2027, Fubara can do it as a governor in APC. So what exactly is Wike offering, that will make the APC of Nigeria, discard a sitting governor of their party for him? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Roland17(m): 10:22pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:It is obvious Asiwaju as the leader of party is now under pressure and I believe he is reading and calculating the situation in the SS. Wike played both sides for a reason and Asiwaju agreed when Wike was the only option. He has gotten his reward and this election cycle is looking different from the last. With unfettered access to Rivers resources (Federal and State might), including the power of a sitting governor, Rivers State is more predictable than the previous cycle. If Asiwaju decides to pull behind Fubara, there isn’t much Wike can do honestly. He can’t fight Asiwaju/ Presidency as it stands. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:24pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:You are funny oh. If Tinubu turns his back on Wike, what exactly will Wike do? He destabilized PDP to even his own detriment. If Tinubu discards him tomorrow, will PDP automatically win anything? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:25pm On Jan 22 |
Roland17:As simple as that. He has no friends in PDP. So if they fling him out, there's no where to run to. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:26pm On Jan 22 |
Roland17:The bigger service Wike is offering is destabilizing PDP, delivering Rivers is just the icing on the cake. Wike can do both, Fubara has not proven he can do 1 and can never do the 2 |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:27pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:If Tinubu turns his back on Wike he will simply let go off PDP and before June everyone in ADC will be back to PDP a party that has structure all over 776 LGA and every ward in Nigeria Tinubu will rather deal with ADC that is just starting to build structure than a PDP that has over 26yrs of structure on ground waiting to be activated There is a reason Tinubu is still holding onto Wike till now |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:28pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:PDP is destabilized already. There's nothing there for now. Even Wike cannot revive it. Tinubu's headache now is to destabilize ADC, of which Wike has no say. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:29pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:How long does it take to make or renew friendship in politics especially when it comes to a common enemy |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:30pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:ADC is building structure? E be like say you no touch Nigeria this December. ADC is your next and only opposition. By 2027, na only two parties go dey show for ballot. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:31pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:I don't know oh. I'm just letting you know that PDP has no hope of Presidency in 2027. Na only you dey see Wike as the destabilizer. Nothing remain there again |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:34pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:LP was not even a serious party and was revived in how many months, Imagine PDP with the 2nd highest number of governors and Senators |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:35pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:ADC is the next opposition but its inferior to what PDP can do if they are allowed to settle PDP is like Man Utd, They have deep structures. its better not to allow them to settle and get their acts together cos they already have party loyalists and fans at every level |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:38pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:PDP doesn't even have any prospective candidate for 2027 All the big names you can think of are either in APC or ADC. Kwankwaso na the only free agent for now. Even if Wike leaves PDP, those Governors will either choose APC or ADC in 2027. No dey sugarcoat something wey no dey there. PDP is already out, and it can never be Tinubu's headache for 2027. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:39pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:By 2027, we will count how many senators and Governor's are left in PDP. Maybe that's when you'll agree that the party is dead. You'll eventually agree oh. But I'll give you the time |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:39pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:PDP has no hope because it has been destabilize and Wike is still on their matter. If Wike steps away and let them regroup, they wll settle everything in weeks and all the ADC people will go back to PDP within weeks That is the reason Wike has not officially left PDP and who does him destabilizing PDP benefit if not Tinubu. That is the reason Tinubu is still keeping him in his cabinet. Can Fubara deliver that? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:41pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:Why does PDP not have a candidate in 2027? Because Wike has not removed his foot from their neck. That is why everyone in PDP still dey vex for Wike They are mired in court cases to their neck. It doesnt take Wike anything to withdraw all those cases and PDP will gather back like nothing ever happened |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:44pm On Jan 22 |
izzou:The party is dying and will remain dead as long as Wike is doing the job of killing it and not letting it revive. The moment Wike decides to leave it alone, they will gather back Fr every position PDP has, Wike has his own candidate. PDP chairman dey, WIke PDP chairman dey, PDP secretary dey, WIke PDP secretary dey Which serious politician will contest in such a party for now? All if takes is for Wike to release his foot and PDP problems becomes solved |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ellexy: 10:44pm On Jan 22 |
raumdeuter:Either you provide another evidence contrary to the one Popizaino posted else fails.....when you quickly jumped to commend the man for holding his governer accountable did you ask for evidence? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 10:54pm On Jan 22 |
Ellexy:I saw the video and watched the video of the man mentioning his governor and his state directly and not Tinubu or FG cos the road most likely will not a FG road Now what evidence do you have that FG DSS arrested him |
