So sad military or civilian drones aren’t thoroughly helping these guys
They need to be better equipped
Some are walking without helmet & bulletproof smh because of heat or what

After the fall out of that Endsars crisis and the following 2 weeks riot, one of my prayer was to never ever get used to the sound of gunshots.

don't mind them, they thought we're fools. This is just acting. During intense battle, no one will be bold video like that and no trained soldier would stand like that as if he's immune to bullets. Our soldiers are trying but this look like acting or training ground without real bullets
my thoughts exactly, it may even be a military drill or exercise that was filed as a Frontline combat, because the non chalance of the commander does not suggest that anyone was firing back at them.

It is not often that a Nigerian soldier is able to capture a firefight involving infantry, tanks and major firepower, so when this video clip arrived in my news feed, I had to share it on the Nairaland forum for the viewing pleasure of my fellow armchair generals in the house. If you listen carefully you will hear the whistle of incoming rounds whipping past the cameraman's head as he bravely records the chaotic firefight.

Sit back, and enjoy the fireworks, but while you see the brave men of the Nigerian army lock horns with a determined and well funded enemy, remember that this is no movie, and that when the smoke clears, a few Nigerian soldiers will have paid the ultimate price, and thus made the ultimate sacrifice for their fatherland.

The most difficult war in this life is a war with people with no real direction, no true leader, no goals, headless mobs, savages. If you defeat them in one direction, some other ones will rise from another direction, you will just be left empty and clueless. they keep coming back no matter how many you kill. Guerilla warfare.

Jakumo:
Hopefully the Nigerian military will send a few electronics engineers and technicians to learn how Ukraine hurriedly manufactures cheap and expendable "kamikaze" drones that can deliver RPG grenades directly on the enemy.

These drones are affordable, and can be mass produced far from the war front, where drone operators can also be trained on readily available simulators, until they are capable of flying those drones into any space that can contain a hiding combatant, so as to blow them to smithereens without risking a single federal troop.
Honestly you are right. Nigeria is just wasting manpower unnecessarily. Drones will do the jobs perfectly with little to no casualties. All they need to do is fortify their base with heavy Manpower and Artillery and make their base easily moveable so they can easily mobilise once they are compromise or need to advance.

After watching the video, one very important component is missing. The component that can spot the enemies from the sky...the Airforce components that provides aerial view, communication and support to ground operations.

my point is simple. The video is likely just for eye service and should not have been leaked. It goes against the ethics of warfare we have come to know about the NA. Wasn't an officer dismissed for sharing such content just few days ago?
Also it proves nothing against insurgents except that ammunitions are being expended.
You should join them on the battlefield. You think this is computer games.
The least you can do is to salute the brave men putting their lives on the line.

These points are so true, and taking into account the way terrorists can stash their weapons in the wilderness and then melt into civilian populace makes them that much harder to distinguish from innocent civilians, which in turn can lead to incidents of "collateral damage", whether intended or not.

The CO walk around a battle field like a stroll in the park, all those bikes should have been lied on the ground not parked upright, bullets to d fuel tanks will fry most of the soldiers, instead of shooting blindly why not outflank them. They need drones to expose the terrorist positions and possibly drops grenades on them....drones exist that can handle guns, outflank & shoot enemies.

What I was expecting to see. Combat is becoming more intelligent by the day. Countries are looking for strategies to reduce exposure to their troops

I have continued to notice the absence of air support In this fight against terrorism. Where is the air force? In western climes, troops would have called for air support, supply the coordinates and allow the air boys to do their jobs, then ground forces will come back and mop up stragglers and survivors.
In Russia/ Ukraine war, ordinary drones have been weaponised and used against the Russian positions to great advantage.
To me, this video right here, there is no coordination. The result will be abysmal.

For the guy walking around aimlessly in the thick fray of battle? That man is obviously in a dazed state of shock. Nothing anyone will tell me
Thank you so much.

Nigeria having the strongest ground force in the world makes no sense without a strong air force.

Bokoharam and terrorists are rats, must be crushed. God bless God's own army, Nigerian army...demons can not face God...this earth we stand upon, this earth that made us, will swallow all our terrorists enemies.

By now advanced drones and tactical air support should always be on standby as troops advance...let's use our advantage and full weight, crush these rats once and for all.

That tank commander should have been taking cover. Too much yanga will get a soldier killed fast. Bullets were thick in the air, and he was strolling around as though on a weekend pleasure walk.
He must stay visible to direct and boost the troops morale, that's his role.

Where are their BPVs, no cover for the TC, shouting gives enemy clues...what's going on here. No Air Cover....well I wish them well.
I see why the battle is getting longer than necessary.

Kudos to Nigerian soldiers who sacrifice their lives daily to defend the country. The almighty American army would have called in an airstrike. This video shows nearly 10 US soldiers calling for an airstrike against two potential Afghan snipers.

What happened to the Super Tucano fighter jets?

The best way to handle this type of situation is to bring in air support..

Zero war tactic... Not in full gear and still walking around carelessly. Either he falls by the enemy or his men bullet

I have seen the video and it proves nothing tangible except that ammunitions are being expended. The soldiers are being commanded to advance toward nothing in particalar within sight. No bulletproof on them shows they just taking silly risk of higher firepower if any terrorist exists on the other side.

Another puzzling issue is, who recorded such a clip if not a deliberately orchestrated leak from NSA to score political points?

We saw someone dismissed from military for same offense just a weak ago. Lol
If you have sense, you will know what is POV. The enemy is at the other side, you want the person recording the video to go to the other side to show you what's happening?

Omo. Am seeing full unprofessional display there. No battle formation there. They are supposed to use the tanks there as cover and keep advancing slowly. Not scattered all over the place and shouting like thugs ... Nigeria Army needs full overhaul and training abeg
They have the advantage in this video, but lack tactics.

I've seen live actions of American soldiers in battle and I can tell you the coordination is out of this world.

See how our soldiers are exposed with no gears
