ChiefOloye:
I agree that a combination of Atiku and Obi would be a potent team. Where I disagree with you is your suggestion of a single term for Atiku followed by another single term for Obi. I laughed at your baby sense of Nigerians and Nigeria’s political patterns. In Nigeria, politics is a personal project only during campaigns; the moment you win, you become the project of your tribe, religion, and ethnic group.
Even if Atiku agreed to govern for just four years, I would bet that he would renege a few months after assuming office, because his supporters and sycophants having grown accustomed to power and will not want to relinquish it after only 48 months. His ethnic base would also insist that it is their turn to enjoy a full tenure in Aso Rock.. Perhaps you think after all these years of marginalisation, disrespect and struggle for power, an Igboman will become President, only to give up after 4 years, then Igbos will thereafter wait for another 4 decades to get to Aso Rock again. So, that idea should be discarded; it simply will not work
I understand you making sense. But whatever.. Atiku/Obi remains the winning ticket

If ADC gives Obi ticket. I will free the party and support Tinubu with my full chest. There a millions of us like this

"Obi or Nothing", according to you but he left Labour Party where the ticket is freely handed to him. If ADC truly need this presidency Obi must be Atiku running-mate, cos neither Obi nor Atiku without eachother can defeat APC in 2027 with rigging in mind.

But the south has not finished its term, and there's no other southern candidate more popular than Obi. So they're in line with that slogan or we will leave Tinubu to cruise to victory. Atikuu I know is power drunk, so he needs to hear that slogan before he starts to want to do his abracadabra by buying delegates with $50,000 USD. We only want a better country if we can't go our separate ways. Simple.

Obi is a founding member of the coalition. The idea for all opposition figures to unite was his idea and he has maintained that he's not desperate to be president even though he's overly qualified. Obi will play the politics and all aspirants will queue behind the eventual winner of the primaries. Obidients (not Agbadorians pretending to be one) need to manage their expectations and trust their principal. The stakes in 2027 is too monumental to be fumbled with.
Atikuu is power drunk, it would be very difficult to convince the old man that it's still the turn of the south in 2027 before he will start dolling out $50k USD to buy his way in.
And I see him not making any significant changes to if he ever climbs to the seat of president rather to collect back the money he's spent several years contesting for president. Let him hear that... Obi is more close to the people and understands their pain, and he's prudent with resources. He's only contesting to give back to the Nigerian populace and to change the evil narrative holding Nigeria. Let them give him a chance or kiss the 2027 election a goodbye. Simple.

Obi or Nothing.
What role did Obi play in the foundational work for PDP's deregulation and privatisation policies that gave us 16 years of widespread prosperity before Tinubu packaged his expired Buhari as APC positive change messiah?

Should we not all work together to stop APC extreme poverty shege and return us to PDP prosperity huh

Nemere2020:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

If Atiku is power drunk, why did he not succumb to 2003 northern pressure to make Obasanjo a one term president like Mandela, and like Tinubu made Jonathan? That was the year that Buharis first asked Nigerians to give him the job of president.

Are you sure you and your Peter Obi have any clue what prudent means?

Report: How Peter Obi as Anambra governor failed to declare assets kept in tax havens

Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state, kept secret assets in tax havens, a series of leaked documents has shown.

The leaked files which were retrieved from 14 offshore services firms around the world were revealed in a Pandora Papers project led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), and which Premium Times is a part of.

In his response, the former governor told Premium Times: “I don’t declare what is owned with others. If my family owns something I won’t declare it. I didn’t declare anything I jointly owed with anyone.”

In 2010, more than four years after Obi became governor, he reportedly set up his first discreet company in the British Virgin Island, and named the company Gabriella Investments Limited, after his daughter.

To set up what has now become a convoluted business structure, Obi, Premium Times reported first approached Acces International, a secrecy enabler in Monaco, France, to help him incorporate an offshore entity in one of the world’s most notorious tax havens noted for providing conduits for wealthy and privileged corrupt political elites to hide stolen cash.

According to the newspaper, Obi also paid Acces International to provide nominee directors for the company — these directors are residents of tax havens paid to sit on boards of companies to hide the identities of real owners of offshore firms.

Acces International officials, who reportedly took briefs from Obi and or his representatives, headed to the British Virgin Island where they contracted a local registered agent – Aleman Cordero Galindo & Lee Trust (BVI) Limited (Alcogal) — to set up Gabriella Investments Limited for the former governor.

NLCreator:
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

We the Obidients are not behind the cliche "Obi or nothing" It is primarily the propaganda of the APC, pushing the narrative.
They are hoping, Obi will dump the ADC to another political party, to repeat the splitting of votes, so that their grab it and run away with it drunken master, will fraudulently emerge once again.
OBI is going nowhere. We remain and work in the ADC, no matter the outcome of the primaries. Shikena!

You knew it was Obi or nothing for Obidients before inviting Peter Obi to the coalition.

Opposition needs to come together now, time is being wasted. It takes time to organize, mobilize, strategize, and take action.
Didn't they know that Atiku and Amaechi are contenders before they accepted to join. Everyone knew that Atiku is contesting so it's pure nonsense to be saying Obi or nothing. Who force Obi to join in the first place.
