The underlying problem is sociocultural and not religious. And majority of northerners have been calling out the the FG and state governments to help end the practice, but they nothing significant is yet to happen. But the nauseating begging is the one done in most southern states. From the police there, security men, cleaners, agberos etc.

Arrest anyone begging on the street. Building vocational rehabilitation centers where they can learn trade. Empower those who see it to the end. Mass education on the dangers of birthing children you can't adequately cater for. Mass literacy of marrying more than one wife when you are not financially capable.

But most importantly, an eradication of the Almajiri system!!

..is because in the north over there..they give birth to too many children they cannot really cater for..no family planning..their Islamic law entitled them to Marry up to 4 wives ..so you will see a poor man over there marrying up to 2 to 3 wives and give birth to 10 to 12 children and more.. and find it difficult to take care of those children especially how hard the economy is now ..to take care of one child is not even easy let alone 12 children and more.. that is why you see these children going to the streets to survive beg for food and money and when they grow up they join bad gangs and become bandits and terrorists because the worse place to raise up children is at the streets where they will learn bad things
