What we're watching is part of wider political theater where the US is declaring its new global "rules" and making examples of those who don't follow them - in Canada's case - a wholly artificial example.

The rule is "China must be isolated," Canada who has no genuine interest in working with China will set the precedent and example for other nations not fully captured by the US of what will happen if they don't agree to isolate China.

Years ago the US declared the need to consolidate control over its proxies in order to successfully confront and defeat a rising China.

And that is what it has been and is doing - this theater is meant to manage public and political perception as it does so.

If you wish to join the Russian army, go to the site, submit your details and they will contact you for the next steps. There’s nothing secretive about that. It’s literally online and accessible to everyone. You have said nothing new. Russia openly recruits foreigners just as Ukraine does.

What is happing in the United States under Donald Trump should not be used to define democracy. Before we ever heard of Trump, the definition of democracy was already taught in schools and an unbiased mind knows that if applied according to the letter, it is the very best form of government.
The actions of Donald Trump and his ICE agents have no definition or anywhere you can crumple them in democracy and I think that is what we should focus on. Democracy has its definition and its definition predates Trump, we shouldn't use the action of one man to define it, cos that is exactly what I see here. Using Trump's actions to define democracy.

Two different systems governments!! US States are empowered by the constitution so they have some level of autonomous power .. Nigerian States virtually has none!! State police in the US are currently protecting civilians protesting right now..how will a governor in nigeria protect his people..when the primary force responsible for the protection of her citizens the Nigerian police force is under the control of the federal government.. you simply can't compare the two

And also what Trump is doing activating and deploying federal agents into States are within his scope as president of the US..ICE and other agency like the FBI has jurisdiction in the entire US.. the problem is the way the ice agents are going on with their mandate.. so reckless and inhumane
