Why Do Some Prayers Take So Long To Be Answered?


One of the hardest parts of faith is waiting. You pray sincerely. You believe genuinely. You try to live right. Yet the answer doesn’t come — or at least, not when you expect it to.


Days turn into months. Months turn into years. And the question quietly forms in your heart: “God, did You hear me?”
Yes, God hears every prayer. But not every answer comes immediately.



Sometimes, the delay is because God is working on you, not just the situation. Certain blessings require growth, maturity, patience, and preparation.


What you’re asking for might be good, but you may not yet be ready to handle it.
Sometimes, God is aligning people, timing, and circumstances. What looks like delay is actually divine coordination.


One small change in timing could affect everything.
Sometimes, the answer is “no”, and God is protecting you from something you can’t see. Not every unanswered prayer is rejection — some are redirection.


And sometimes, the delay is meant to build deeper faith. Faith that doesn’t depend on fast results.

Faith that trusts even in silence.
Waiting is painful. But waiting is not wasted.
God’s timing is not slow — it’s precise.

Somethings are time based. It has a cycle in the spirit when it should takes place. God promised Abraham that he will be the father of all nations it took him 25 years for that to fulfill. They are many factors you can look at. Your faith, your prayers. Talking about prayer they could be a level of prayer you have to pray to settle some things in the realm of the spirit. Elijah pray for seven times before the rain fell. He was patient in prayer. He prayed until he saw the signs. Sometimes we stop praying too soon. We stop before the manifestation. I can go on and on.

Because religion is a complete brainwashed scam. Prayers don't work stop deceiving yourselves.

Answered Prayers, delayed prayers and unanswered prayers are a Mercy from God.

According to the book of Daniel, God answers us when we pray and sends angels with answers.

But there is serious warfare in the heavens between God's angels and the devil's, this often leads to delay.

That's why prayer should be made always with faith, not lukewarm or in unbelief.

Because you all are brainwashed mofos waiting for some guy in the sky to answer your prayers while other people in other countries answer their own prayers themselves through taking accountability and responsibility of their lives.
Nigerians are so lazy and this prayer mindset will keep them permanently in poverty.

when you do what you are supposed to do, there are two things involved, either it works or it doesn't.
Why would this your all knowing God delay your prayers without telling you why and what to do to fast track it?
Most black people don't know anything about the universe, they believe earth is the only planet around here. As a matter of fact, they don't even know there are places like Australia and Antarctica

It's not all prayers that can be answered!

Alignment instead of expectations

I don pray so tey e come be like say God don forget me, but I still trust Him. He knows what's best for me. I'm sure God has already answered my prayers. When the time is right, it will materialise.

It took Abraham 25years to have his own one child at old age..

Abraham wasn't even a life to see that promise manifest...

Every unfolding event in ones life, has a time span. After all, it's all a process of learning, which enhances growth.

Even a true prayer, is inspired by the spirit, before your actual voicing.

There's also (in the sight of God), a great difference, between your needs ' & your wants'. The universal energy (God), actually considering your NEEDS, might by the delay, be telling you, "wait, I have something better for you", or "it's not the right time for this".

Because prayers don't work

Some issues just expose this faster

Because prayers without efforts is useless

Maybe we just don't know how many things truly work. So, we're probably doing things the wrong way..

Those in special groups do not experience this delayas they work with true knowledge not faith and hope...

Their workings are different. The results are everywhere and undeniable.

So maybe, most experience delay as a result of lack of knowledge of how things truly work.

We must also understand that whatever answer we are receiving from God for our prayers, are not the main purpose He called us.
"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness....." (Matthew 6:33)


God loved us unconditionally, so we must love Him and the interest of His kingdom unconditionally too.

So whether God answers our prayers or not, our love for Him should remain unwavering.

First, What answers payers?

Prayer is a waste of time. There is nobody out there incharge of answering prayers.

Especially those related to having good leaders in Nigeria.

God's answer is either YES, NO or WAIT.

Because ultimately, prayers are answered by God who works with times and seasons, asides sovereignty.

Prayers are nothing but placebo.
A child with heart defect dies even after months of prayers but Emeka prays for a successful sex reassignment procedure and gets it.
