He didn't also talk about what ,how and where most of the so called pastors and successful people got their monies from. Moreso , how many souls have been taken with it without their consent in order for them to keep the so called wealth they are flaunting now. How many more to be duped to maintain such wealth.

If you've had money before and it escaped from you, all you need do is to restrategize and prepare again. Don't be fooled by these so called men of gut and rich people. Very few made it clean.

If they like ,let them continue amassing the wealth without any sincere help given out, they will leave everything like the other bank topguy according to :

20 million in 1990 is equivalent to 3.8 billion Naira today using dollar exchange rate.

The pastor was just using both scenario to drive his message thru thats ALL ..not an attack

All I know is that he built one magnificent edifice then, I think the story is that he saw the prototype in US and decided the duplicate it and I am sure he is the one that bragged to the tabloids that his house cost 20m.

It was even MKO Abiola that helped him complete the mansion, from what i read MKO gave him N500k then to complete the house.

I have seen that same house several times, at Iju Ishaga, Its a nice mansion but that N20Mn bit was a lie.

I remember when he was asked in an interview then, he kept saying Amen, that Nigerians were only praying for him and he was claiming it, he did not accept it but stylishly denied it.

He later also sang in his 1992 album ...Experience.. that MC Hammer and Bobby Brown are musicians like him and they did nice things with their money, that he could not be an exception to that rule.

He got more than 20 million.

When Shina Peters was reigning, e be like say there was no Fuji music, no pop music, no apala music, no reggae music.

Hausa, Igbo , Yoruba, all they listened to was Shina.
His records sold, several concerts sold, all nations Tertiary Schools.

He was stupid truly to have spent most of what he got on a Mansion.

No, I responded to your comment because I think we, especially fresh graduates, should have the culture of entrepreneurship. We aren't doing enough in that area.

The unemployment price we are paying today is that everyone wants to work for someone after graduation. We must build a society where people have the risk appetite of starting something for themselves.

You are probably too young to know that even in eastern Nigeria, when Shina Peters' music 'afro juju' was played in an occasion, everywhere go scatter. I don't if he had 20m, but he may be one of, if not the, biggest at some point in Nigerian music industry.

look at you? The story is very true.he built a fully automated mansion with remote controlled curtains,swimming pool, jacuzzi and all that plus imported Italian marble...he was Nigerias fastest rising megastar in late 80s

You are wrong here when you said everybody wants to work for people. I know some people that carry the mindsets right from graduation that they will go into business ( they will not work for people.) . Youth of nowadays are doing that now. Many are going into skill acquisitions after graduation.

One of them says it was the guy that built a certain White House at Ikeja along that was approached to come and invest in the upcoming Bank of Jim Ovia then but the guy choose to build the house and continue to do Owambe at every Shina Peter gigs.

YES ! perhaps to buttress his sermon, i am a realist ... ofcus Ovie took a wise decision Buh the pastor should also know there are bank that have liquidated as well someone made same choice as Ovie and they are out of business today

I am old enough to be your dad I bet, at 60 years of age and still counting. It is simple common sense, of what use was the name calling? Start from the immatured pastor that started the issue before calling on our the person that cannot handle it.
