In those days, Nigeria exported these kinds of people to the West. I mean, it was the best of the best that travelled abroad, and they represented us well. Now, any dude that has some cash from any means travels there and does anything to survive there, even the worst things to survive. Some even join jeehardeest groups. |

Nwaokunkpara:Do you think that Australian politicians emerge from among Australian people who are MORE engaged in their political and governance processes than we are engaged with ours? Do you know if Australians rotate their president and senators, representatives, governors, state lawmakers, LGA chairmen and councillors on tribal and clannish basis to share their national cake instead of focuing on making the cake ![]() |

If our leaders were half sensible and half corrupt compare to what they are now, a Nation like Australia will be fighting for visas to be here. Stories like like this makes one reflect on how useless ones country is. You can hardly see a UAE citizen being proudly displayed as taking another country's citizenship. Nations rather run to them |

Slytiger:Congratulations to the Odutola fam on the achievement of Dr. Michael Odutola who is of Ijebu descent in Yorubaland based off of his surname. More power to their elbows as they contribute in various ways to Australia's development and that of the global ecosystem. With technologies such as video conferencing and more, Michael Odutola can always stay in Australia and contribute to Nigeria's advancement in the medical research field, so, it's NOT a total loss of human resources. |

Congratulations to him, go where you're appreciated. Many talents have wasted in Nigeria because of padi padi government, incompetent people get jobs while competent ones hope on God/luck.......In sane climes they do things differently unlike this sheet hole. Back then in secondary school my director always tell us some civil servants can't spell simple name and I thought he was cracking jokes. I have confirmed it several times now, when you wanna fill form and tell them your name they'll tell you to spell it. I'm not talking about native names o, they can't even spell simple names like "Clinton". If you make the mistake of allowing them spell your name and you didn't cross-check you're in problem already, na affidavit for high court go settle your case. |

Congrat to the Odutolas....it amazes me how slavery has evolved...but who no like improvement in quality of life..most ppl will choose to bear the title of a slave if it improves the quality of their lives, access to quality health care, good education for their kids, good emergency response, dignity in labour, reward for efforts not looking at tribe, religion or who you know before getting things you need. |

I always say if you can deliver, those guys will value and cherish you. Africans that go there through Libya and Morocco routes are just wasting their time. Get something upstairs and see the White will run to you like the ants perching on Akamu that has enough sugar. If na lie I de talk, ask Dr Okonjo iweala how the White value her like tomorrow no dey. |

Congrats to them, the children are very tall, they have professional basketball heights, I hope they play basketball, that could lead to full scholarships to universities and eventually pro basketball. |

This is what all western nations and even USA wants , they want people who will contribute positively to the development of their country not drug dealers , scammers and robbers or drug traffickers |
| Re: Australian PM Congratulates Michael Odutola & Family On Becoming Citizens by onatisi(m): 10:21am On Jan 27 |
It is not about the citizenship ,already he must have been a permanent resident and he is doing very well but the main thing is a country that recognises your efforts ,toiling and rewards you for it ,not in Nigeria where a doctori treating a patients for cardiac arrest himself Falls down and collapse out of exhaustion because he is the only one working due to over one month of medical doctors strike in government Hospitals .Tinubu does not care ,Wike doeant. give a Damm they fly their kids and families to these Nigerian doctors broad and make fun of you and I and saying we will learn our lesson Seneroz: |

They are just elevated slaves. There is no joy in loosing your own reality and worldview because your country is not working to embrace the worldview of your colonialist, citizenship for African outside Africa, especially while Africa is still not working makes you a slave although a superior one in your deluded mind. Whenever you think of what you are running away from and the temporary cage into which you are now confined, you'll weep. The reality will dawn on you when you reach age 50 and 60s where you are trapped abroad and have no home to return to. Enjoy the fools paradise for one hour Africa is far better but Nigeria is not working for now |

Having more kangaroos than humans as neighbours is not what I desire . Even if you give me Australian citizenship on a silver platter, I will reject it. |
