He's always ready to cause division with his agitation and raising issues where there's none. I won't say it's the influence of northerners in the south west that caused it. There are many of those guys in places like Ogbomosho, Osogbo, Lagos Island, etc.

There are extremists even among the populace. It wont fly in a state like Oyo. Maybe it might work in other states. Sharia wont fly in Oyo given the high number of Xtians and traditional people in the state

Even as students in University over 20yrs ago, there were extremists in the school. There were some Moslem brothers who fought students that were watching pornn. And stated they should be banned from watching porn. It led t OAU closure in 2005

If the number of those extremists grow, they will say you cant breathe anymore without reciting koran

it is a hill i will die on . i have said it multiple times. there is now a large northern muslim community in festac and as they are moneyed middle and upper middle class, they are throwing their weight around. i see it in some schools. young girls now wearing hijab. which obviously happened because the muslim parents put pressure for this to be school uniform for muslims. something that was no one was bothered about before. you will now have some parents who will be aggressively checking your daughters for not wearing hijab as a personal uniform.

it starts with small and not really consequential things, but where does it end? some places up north they will likely stone/harass women or girls who do not wear hijab. if some of these refugees from boko haram have their way, we will be doing that here as well

Even when I was in school we had them too right here in Lagos. They make issues out of the smallest and negligible matter.

Even some fellow Muslims find their posituon on issues on the extreme. They make everything about fighting /activism and confrontation.

It's all those MURIC and his followers that pushed all those agenda, not any northern Muslim group in Lagos.

I knew when he started all those agitation way back. He would call for parents to go picket public schools because the principal said Hijab is not part of the school uniform approved by the government. He instigated a whole lot of demonstration all in the name of fighting for "rights"

Hmm, Kudos to those NDLEA officials, they do their work dutifully just to bail the innocent man out. If it na police, na sorry be the case, he may go to jail because of it.
