If done right, it could be one of the most meaningful investments the Rivers State Government makes in its future. |

Long Overdue, All Wike was busy doing was Flyover Bridges, without creating long term Jobs. Good one from Governor Fubara. |

Good moves. May God bless the governor and the people of Rivers State. |

I’m glad Fubara can now settle down and work since he has aligned with the federal government and he is quite off Wike’s reach for now. Rivers State has not enjoyed governance for a while now and it’s demeaning. Rivers State has state deserves more than what the drunkard Wike is trying to turn the state into and Fubara will get his second term meanwhile Wike is not even sure for a ministerial position come 2027 |

Right from the days of rotimi amaechi the only recruitment I mean employment that RVS has ever offered his people is teaching job. Wike up with false employment then, only to recruit mile 4 boys into task force for the 8years in power and now his boy is back with teacher recruitment scam. Opobo and Kalabari graduates go dey dance now thinking opportunity don land. |

TTPAAR:For him to approve the recruitment means he is capable of paying them. Gov Sim Fubara if allowed to governed River State will perform beyond expectations. Shalom. |

press9jatv:Nothing great there. He should do more as an oil producing state. Oyo did 20,000 at a goal. I expect Rivers to do 50,000 not celebrating 5K. 5K that s'eyi did in his first term and did 20K in his second term |

KingGBsky:What has aligning with the federal government to do with recruiting teachers EVERY year to ensure that every single child is in free primary, vocational and secondary schools? Was Makinde aligned with APC progreThieves when he employed almost 20,000 within five years of being governor ![]() |
| Re: Rivers State Government To Recruit 5,000 Teachers To Boost Education Sector by anonimi: 8:28pm On Jan 27 |
happney65:Any idea how many teachers Wike recruited in his eight years? What of the four progressive governors of Lagos State since 1999? Did they recruit as many as Makinde recruited in just five years without having the kind of trillions Lagos has each year in budget ![]() |

Fubara just doing what’s expected. Use your wins to nail Wike! |

Rubbish man, this guy wasted over 3 years without any meaningful project. God forbid for Rivers people to have this kind of person as our governor again. He cares more about politics than governance. His only goal as a governor is bringing Wike down politically. And the most annoying thing is that he's not trying to beat Wike by doing more projects for Rivers people that Wike. |

anonimi:I'm not talking about Lagos here. Talking about Rivers that has much more money than Oyo. I believe Rivers should do better and stop celebrating 5K It doesn't make any sense. We shall talk about Lagos in another scenerio. But here,we are talking about Rivers and I mean they can do better than this when "lesser state" did more than this |

This will definitely be a sign of relief for plenty job seekers in the state. |

Another great step in the right direction. That’s the way to go in Rivers state. Job creation leading to less crime in the state. While Amaewhule is restless and endlessly aiming to be the Governor for three months, Fubara tries to move the state genuinely forward with his policies and financial management. |

Righthussle:I can't hear your lamentations well !Pls cry me River. Fubara is the best thing to happen to Rivers state after Amaechi, the testimonies are everywhere. When wike was there for 8 years, the assembly approved the proposed appropriation that will cover Recruitment, promotion and consequential salary increases for R/S public servants, yet nothing was done. In fact this became an annual habit. Where did the money go to? One day, EFCC will beam their search light on all the reckless financial dealings under wike and the public would stone him |

This is because he is in a tight corner. Very unserious governor. People have been lamenting about the need to employ more teachers, but he conveniently woke up now to score cheap political points with his sight on 2027. This is barely enough. |

| Re: Rivers State Government To Recruit 5,000 Teachers To Boost Education Sector by stanluiz(m): 10:19pm On Jan 27 |
They need to recruit more teachers because most of their secondary schools are using corpers as teachers. Rivers State is lagging behind in Education. |
| Re: Rivers State Government To Recruit 5,000 Teachers To Boost Education Sector by BondRiv: 10:26pm On Jan 27 |
HisXLNC1:Someone is in office and you are pointing fingers at a previous governor. Due to subsidy removal, the funds Fubara is receiving are more than that of his predecessors. Still he has little to show for the huge sums. What is he doing with the money? The state is at a standstill because of his lawlessness. His cabinet is barely constituted and everything is on a downward spiral. The roads are all flooded. The worst administration so far. |
| Re: Rivers State Government To Recruit 5,000 Teachers To Boost Education Sector by HisXLNC1: 11:12pm On Jan 27 |
BondRiv:We are talking about his predecessor not his predecessors. Amaechi carried out employment. Amaechi did promotion, though he didn't implement. Then Sim's predecessor came in, was governor for good eight years. No single employment and no promotion. Do we have to turn everything into politics. Were the roads not flooded during the time of his predecessor? Did flooding of PH roads after major rainfalls start with Sim as governor? You are talking about removal of subsidy...how much was the minimum wage then and, consequently, the wage bill of the state? Be honest. |
