That is not how it works bro. Pray make case no carry you go prison.

Firstly, Cyberstalking is a crime. Whether guilty or innocent. As long as it could not be settled off court before it was brought to the court. She will be remanded first since her bail terms have not been mentioned.

Secondly, after bail terms are mentioned if she could not meet it before 4pm of same day. She will still be cooling in the prison.

This is even before trial will start to determine who is guilty and who is innocent. The Judge knows that the police may have tried to settle them but e no work.

So it is after verdict is given on this case or it is overturned, that the accused can then have mouth to press charges. Until then, she go dey chop fried beans for prison.

This is not cyberstalking, you've gone out of context, read the charge they even charged her there for, still on intent, telling you they know a whole lot will not even fly, this is just pure bullying...

It is actually not by force to talk online. If you cannot control what you say about others online is it not better to just read and waka pass? I nor be judge sha, because if was one, any bail application for cyber bullying will not be heard till at least after 1 week

Mercy Johnson husband is a member of the House of Representatives and an active member of APC.
She should have known this.
Why will the Judge not rule on the bail application on a case of deformation?
They have used their APC connection to hijacked the case.

A country where those who are connected can use the police and the Judiciary as a weapon of oppression.

Instead of preparing a written bail application in advance. The judge will just suspend the trial that day and come back after some minutes to consider the application.

Granting bail is at the mercy of the judge but proper procedures must be followed.

Bail and granting of it, is under the discretion of the court. So, in other words, if the judge likes, he can grant you bail, if he doesn't, he won't. It's that simple.

Pele Angela ehn, just enjoy the remaining two days, it's not that long. I bet you Angela, after spending two days in that place, you will know the true value of freedom and how we humans take it for granted.

Sending people to prison for minor cases is abusive. Denying bail for such trivial transgressions is terrible.

Only murderers, kidnappers, robbers, assaulters and similar dangerous elements should be remanded in prison or denied bail before trial.

This is another lesson, we should all be careful. She went to court with gragra instead of reason the complainant normal normal at home and probably apologize. Went to court, her may have given her a false confidence,...not knowing if will all ended dat way. The judge changed it for am, even the adjoinmnt date is still unknown. Wahala !

People have become very reckless and irresponsible in this era of social media. I don't care about any of them, personally. What bothers me is when the innocent ones start getting affected by the recklessness of the adults. I know if it was up to Mercy she will just keep ignoring, but now all the online talk has started causing stigma for her kids in school, and I am guessing that is the drawing line for her.

People need to do better. There is so much lunacy going on online. No more boundaries and nothing is anathema for people anymore.

Lol. This is not about losing or winning the case now. Who are you going to sue? The judge who ordered you to be remanded, right? Being remanded in prison doesn't mean your right has been tampered with. Your lawyers just need to meet the bail conditions.
