See the moment President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan turns to a caregiver to his visiting Nigerian counterpart President Tinubu so he won't fall and wasn't following steps and patterns; couldn't turn too. Is Nigerian President strong or something wrong with him that he can't even walk well?

I have since discovered that Tinubu's penchant for having sycophants singing the mandate song for him is borne out of low self-esteem. It also counts against him whenever he travels outside the country because his protocol team are probably too much in awe to guide and tutor him appropriately. He's treated as the king who had no clothes on but drew admirations from all his subjects as he walked majestically through the city. Who will be the little boy that will tell him the truth?

That's on a lighter note. On a serious one, the whole spectacle seems like a mockery. Not just because it is Nigeria but because it fits the perception many outside Africa have of Black people - a race that has no inkling of how to do anything right. Could you imagine an Asian or European or even an American leader go for a state visit and be guided like an invalid? These races are so advanced in knowing how to project themselves rightly that that leader's handler would never permit such national disgrace such as we Africans are used to.

Imagine wasting 8 years with Buhari and now this ...

Just take a look at the last picture. I really feel for Erdogan. The man must be like "Old age and what it does to us".

Don't forget he keeps singing that on his mandate he shall stand and makes everyone sing it. If he had the opportunity, he probably would have changed it to that tune as it is more popular than the anthem. Let's see how he stands on it.

We are told Tinubu went for a knee surgery, we have no idea maybe it got worse from the June 12 fall but this time in Turkey he fell on his head. Tinubu underwent knee surgery in London in 2021, before the 2023 presidential campaign, long before he fell at the Democracy Day parade in 2024. His knee issues have been attributed to chronic problems such as arthritis, and aides have explained that the surgery and recovery affected his gait and mobility.
