I hate avoidable deaths, in the so-called saner clime he's in, will his family ever get justice for this murder? Worst case scenario the republicans lose their majority in the midterms and Trump is impeached, will that bring him back? Erecting 10 statues on the streets would it bring him back?

Is this a thinly veiled dig? You're pointing the obvious bros yes they knack soldiers wives all day long, it is what it is. You want to compare soldiers who are forced to fight to defend their country to a man who had an altercation with security forces and was unfortunately murdered in the process? Talk another thing Chief that one no follow abeg. You gave a perfect example using the EFCC earlier on or even SARS
It is the exact same principle

Soldiers in the field sacrificing/martyring themselves for the safety of the nation while some other people are sleeping with their women

It is a world wide phenomenon which is why I used the term dear John which refers to the letter women write to their man in the field to say they are moving on.

In the marines letters like this as put on the wall of shame, shown in the movie jarhead

I am pointing out that the exact thing you are saying is something some of your comrades in arms have undoubtedly experienced so I would not understand why you would knock a person's ultimate sacrifice.

Do you know how many avoidable deaths over decades came up in the fight for civil rights in America?

Or in nazi Germany?

What is the difference between the man killed and Oscar schindler or the hotel Rwanda guy or anyone who hid Jews during ww2?

You are a black man in America, it is common sense that you avoid anything law enforcement before they pump bullets into you for no reason and deprive your people of their son, while I do not support your black republican agenda I recognise that sometimes we need to value our lives and pick our fights. Like that boy who obstructed a Major General's convoy in traffic a few months ago, he was given a proper beating despite his cries of being sick, after all is said and done, how many of us here who were dropping think pieces still remember the boy's matter? If he was killed then that's still how he'd have been forgotten
It not even about being a black man in America
You are a black man in Nigeria and I believe you will not do that acts and go confront law enforcement regularly. If you have a younger brother or son going to confront police, wont you flog him away from that place?

These 2 people shot were white people in America and millions of white people who are not going to confront law enforcement are safe in their house
We have been youths at some point and we some people here who have kids who are youths, One of the first things your parents will warn you about is not to confront law enforcement

This Pretti guy who was killed was also warned by his parents, Why do you think his parents who are also white people in America warned him not to go confront law enforcement? Maybe because they have common sense and know that such endeavor can end very bad

His parents, who live in Colorado, urged him to be cautious. Why do you think the parents who are whites in America warned him about such behavior? Its basic common sense whether its Nigeria, Argentina, Syria, Belgium, SriLanka or Canada.

The basic rule of life is that actions have consequences, that you escaped consequences today does not guarantee you will continue to

“We had this discussion with him two weeks ago or so, you know, that go ahead and protest, but do not engage, do not do anything stupid, basically,” Michael Pretti, Alex’s father, told The Associated Press. “And he said he knows that. He knew that.”

I guess many years of seeing lives lost makes you appreciate it being alive more. Going to confront law enforcement has a potential to go wrong

Many guys we entered Uni together, they didnt finish alive because they got shot during riots, Most of us their mates and friends have forgotten then and moved on, Max they will name University Lecture theatres and TV rooms after you. which in 20yrs time they will change and wipe off while your family continue to moan the loss, especially something as sensible as "Do not confront/disrupt armed law enforcement"

This is a civil rights march

Do you think it was safe? Do you think it was within the confines of the law in the deep south? Do you think the people who marched or sat in were not at risk?

This Is ruby bridges. Was she at risk being the first integrated black student?

That is Paul Rusesabagina of hotel rwanda who sheltered over a 1000 people when the govt was backing their extermination (within the law)

Hopefully if you are ever in a situation where you are being unfairly bound by the law, there will be an emotional person who will ignore logic, ignore the law, ignore the threat to himself and stand up for you.

The reason why cultism was truncated in ife was because of the deaths of the ife 5,is it not?

You lived in a country with a thriving democracy because there were citizens who would always stand up to so called constituted authority. The countries where people adopt the mindset you are championing are countries like cameroon or Rwanda or Uganda where we have president for life.

We might have been ruled for life by abacha, by obj, or ruled for life by turai yardua, even gej

We all saw how attahiru jega stood up during the 2015 elections. Maybe he should have done what you would have advised in a situation like that.

The freedoms you take for granted wherever you may be, some people bled for them, some people died for them. Freedom and rights are not dashed out by benevolent autocrats or dictators.

You can see all in this pictures holding posters and protesting. I don't know how many of them were trying to burn properties, run over police with cars like Renee Goode or going not physical struggles with Policemen like Alex Pretti
Why do you think the parents of Alex Pretti warned him against such behaviors? Maybe there is something they know about consequences of such behaviors

If you do not agree with the law, then vote and get your representatives to change it. Many conservatives did not like Biden era open border policies, they did not like censorship, they did not like covid mandates but they waited for elections and voted him out.

The first black student who went into a mixed school was followed by Federal Marshall meaning she had legal backing and law enforcement on her side

Emotions is not law and its not logic, In many cases emotions do not solve issues and get you into trouble

I don't like the IRS, Many Nigerians do not like the Tax laws nor EFCC should I take my car and start ramming IRS vehicles? or encourage others to do that? What will society devolve into if we use emotions to encourage breakdown of law and order. Do you think you can survive in a society where everyone ignores law and order and follow what their emotions tell them

Its amazing how you try to argue APPLES is ORANGES
Cultism is ILLEGAL students fought against what is ILLEGAL
Attahiru Jega following and declaring the right winner is LEGAL
Turai Yar Adua was ILLEGAL to sit tight
ICE enforcement is LEGAL, You are fighting against what is legal by confronting armed law enforcement
You seem to conflate defending what is LEGAL vs defending what is ILLEGAL

What will be equal is if you start attacking EFCC for picking up Yahoo boys or attacking Nigerian Immigration officers for rounding up Malians and Chadians because you do not agree with them

Was it legal to hide Jews in ww2?
Was it legal to swear in gej via a non existent doctrine of necessity?
Was it legal to hide 1000 tutsis in a hotel in Rwanda?
Was it legal to fight jim crow laws?
Was it legal for EFCC to storm Mike adengas house?
Is it legal for police to open people's phones
Is it legal for sars to harass youths

Because according to your doctrine, if police stop me and demand to look in my phone, I am supposed to accept that they are law enforcement even if they don't actually have the right to do so?

Is it legal for me to fight EFCC officers who jump into my compound at 2am with no warning?

Was it legal to swear in gej via a non existent doctrine of necessity? YES because the law demands that a Vice should be sworn in when the President is incapacitated
Was it legal to hide 1000 tutsis in a hotel in Rwanda? Yes because there was no official law to exterminate Tutsis
Was it legal to fight jim crow laws? Yes its right to fight laws by lawful protests and changing the laws
Was it legal for EFCC to storm Mike adengas house? EFCC has the right to storm any residence in Nigeria if they have a warrant, Adenuga did not stand in front nor go ram EFCC cars
Is it legal for police to open people's phones - Yes if they have reasons to believe that is a solution to a crime US border police check peoples phone regularly
Is it legal for sars to harass youths - They have the right to interrogate anyone If they believe that particular youth can be the solution to a crime that keeps you and I safe

Is it legal for me to fight EFCC officers who jump into my compound at 2am with no warning? It is illegal for you to fight law enforcement at any time of the day if they have a believe that your compound has the solution to a crime affecting the community

You dont have to like the law, you just have to accept it, For one I do not like monogamy laws but I accept it

The video shows he was part of a coordinated gang of agitators who disrupt ICE activities all over the state

He regularly injects himself into law enforcement work and unfortunately got killed in one of those incidents he has been instigating

Chances of getting hurt increases when you consistently go to antagonize law enforcement who are already edgy
This doesn't by any means, justify his brutal execution in public domain.

What are you even trying to support here?

If you engage in risky behavior you are likely to have consequence you don't like
You cannot continue to nack OS raw and say you are shocked that one of the consequence is STD because you did it last month and got away with it

No one is defending his confrontational behaviour. That isn’t the point. The real issue is that he paid the ultimate price for actions that never warranted anything close to that outcome.

Focusing on his foolish actions now feels like a deliberate distraction — a way to shift attention away from the shocking and bizarre public execution the world just witnessed.

MLK was known for his peaceful protest, he was not using his car to ram law enforcement officers. He knew better than not to do that which is why he is celebrated, He protested within the ambit of the law

Its not in your place or any citizens place to dictate how law enforcement does their job, if they say your compound is an area of interest to them in doing their work, no matter how it pisses you off, you do not have the right to stop them

You have asked this question before an I will like to clarify that Texas local authorities cooperate with ICE, Minnesota local authorities are saying they will not cooperate with ICE

If Texas have 5000 local law enforcement who cooperate with ICE and work together to protect them, why will CE need to deploy more people in Texas? vs in Minnesota where they have a policy not to cooperate with ICE

If there is a known illegal in the area in Texas, the local law enforcement will inform ICE, if in jail they will put a ICE detainer on him meaning once he serves his jail term they will hand him to ICE, Minnesota does not do that and ICE have to do all the work by themselves which is why they needed more people

Its simple, If for example US army is having an operation in Nigeria and Nigerian army cooperates, why will you need and escalation in Nigeria and thousands of US forces vs a country that does not cooperate

MLK was hated . MLK was jailed

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luther_King_Jr.
King was jailed several times. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director J. Edgar Hoover considered King a radical and made him an object of COINTELPRO from 1963. FBI agents investigated him for possible communist ties, spied on his personal life, and secretly recorded him. In 1964, the FBI mailed King a threatening anonymous letter, which he interpreted as an attempt to make him commit suicide.[3] King won the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality through nonviolent resistance. In his final years, he expanded his focus to include opposition towards poverty and the Vietnam War.

In 1968, King was planning a national occupation of Washington, D.C., to be called the Poor People's Campaign, when he was assassinated on April 4 in Memphis, Tennessee. James Earl Ray was convicted of the assassination, though it remains the subject of conspiracy theories. King's death led to riots in US cities. King was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2003. Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established as a holiday in cities and states throughout the United States beginning in 1971; the federal holiday was first observed in 1986. The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., was dedicated in 2011.
Its not in your place or any citizens place to dictate how law enforcement does their job, if they say your compound is an area of interest to them in doing their work, no matter how it pisses you off, you do not have the right to stop them

You think about it if the Medical doctor does not have guns at home that's how invaders whether EFCC, UGM, kidnappers will feast on him. Just imagine 2hat would have been his fate if he didn't have a gun and that of his family. Nigeria that doesn't even have any police line and you are at the mercies of thugs.

Like those men who were begging 1 million boys during lockdown

This is even a good advert why you need guns instead of waiting for non existent security agencies or reciting psalms
no be you be this - equating efcc with ugm and kidnappers lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

This is MLK according to AI. Note peaceful protests was his hallmark, Not ramming police with cars

Being hated is not the problem, MLK didnt care if he was hated he cared about being peaceful and legal. Once you are doing things legal anyone can hate you, its their business
